Winning streak 769! (in General)

Joel September 29 2009 7:16 PM EDT

Has anyone seen anything higher?! I know I should be switching opponents and maybe losing a few battles because of that, but I'm still getting positive bonuses from fighting them!

QBRanger September 29 2009 7:18 PM EDT

The highest is just over 15000.

Lord Bob September 29 2009 7:18 PM EDT

What is your average bonus?

Joel September 29 2009 7:28 PM EDT

Awww man! I was hoping I had something cool here ;p Well, my average bonus is 11.2 among 5 opponents. Highest is 21% and lowest is 2%.

DoS September 29 2009 7:30 PM EDT

Great job! Keep up the work and maybe one day you will hold that number 1 title of best winning streak ;)

Joel September 29 2009 7:33 PM EDT

Oooooh I hope so! But I think that might have to wait until I get to the top and run out of opponents that have high Challenge Bonuses. That is to say IF I get there! I don't want to come off as presumptuous... :)

Demigod September 29 2009 7:34 PM EDT

Who landed 15,000? That's nuts.

Lord Bob September 29 2009 7:40 PM EDT

"Well, my average bonus is 11.2 among 5 opponents. Highest is 21% and lowest is 2%. "

Fight higher. At your size you should be getting significantly better bonuses.

Heck, mine are far, FAR better than yours and I'm nearly 2 million MPR ahead of you.

Joel September 29 2009 7:46 PM EDT

Well, I know I should go higher, but I think the reason for your success is that you have nearly a quarter-billion of net-worth, plus 4+ years of experience with CB2. This is not my final strategy, probably, either. I still need to get tons of dough for the equipment I might be using in the future. I just hope that I can do all this on my first run and not have to start an NCB like I hear everyone else has to do.

Joel September 29 2009 8:17 PM EDT

Now I'm getting 45% Challenge Bonus by fighting only Ice-Cream! And my winning streak continues!
I wonder if I'll be able to keep this up while still growing as fast as possible...

Joel September 29 2009 9:18 PM EDT

:(( Tal Destra must not like me... He cut my winning streak by attacking me with a 2mil+ MPR character... Ah well, I guess that dream of mine will be more difficult to obtain than I thought!

Lord Bob September 29 2009 10:03 PM EDT

"Well, I know I should go higher, but I think the reason for your success is that you have nearly a quarter-billion of net-worth, plus 4+ years of experience with CB2."

You think these things are an advantage in Carnage Blender?

Ha!

The older your character, the less of an advantage it has. I keep mine because I like it, not because it's anywhere remotely competitive.

Joel,

Try not to sweat your comparisons to other players so much. This game, compared to say.... 3 years ago, even 2, is drastically different. 769 is rather impressive, regardless of what others say. And fighting successfully and in such a way as to make sure you're enjoying it is most important!

BTW, I haven't, so I'll welcome you to the community now. I also enjoyed reading your threads about weight lifting... Even if that isn't, shall we say.... my forte. *snickers* I realy did find them interesting. And got a smile out of Bast kickboxing! Hehe.

QBRanger September 29 2009 10:43 PM EDT

Joel,

And now you see why people typically do not post their win streaks :)

Seriously you need to become a supporter.

The ability to custom make a fightlist as well as being able to fight by score is incredibly helpful.

Demigod September 29 2009 11:02 PM EDT

Off topic, but what Ranger said is true -- save up CB money and get another player to buy your supportership. It makes fighting so much easier.

Also, your streak is impressive. I can't recall seeing anyone get that high, because... well... if I did, I would have pulled the same stunt Tal Destra did. ;)

Joel September 30 2009 3:07 AM EDT

Well thanks guys for all the advice! Besides the problem 'Lord' Bob must have with me, I appreciate the replies! I think Bob is just jealous of my muscles ;p
Tal Chat-mailed me with an explanation of his attack, so he and I are straight.
You have my permission to close the thread now before Bob posts a snappy comeback!

BootyGod September 30 2009 3:11 AM EDT

Hehe. Clever body builder. Makes me smile. Apparently muscles DON'T kill your brain. :P

Rawr September 30 2009 3:12 AM EDT

No LB is not trying to insult you or whatever... He is just stating that having an old character is actually a DISADVANTAGE and that having experience is worth less than having a NUB. I think.

Brakke Bres [Ow man] September 30 2009 5:00 AM EDT

Shark feels the pain. And streaks are meant to be broken!

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] September 30 2009 6:19 AM EDT

hehe it was a decent streak Joel. LB is right though in this instance the only way that Experience(and Good Items!) helps is with an NCB and they are rough to run.

A lot of the older players do not like or even want to run an NCB. It is like the NUB which you have, but, you have to buy your own BA which can get expensive. Older chars can be competitive just not as competitive as an NCB or NUB after they have been going for 4 months or so (If you are going for gold in MPR that is).

Furthermore to put it into perspective some older players actually like their Char and just do not want to give it up. In order to do this they give up their competitive edge in moving up at a drastic rate like the NUB or NCB.
