actually i received a fair lot of stuff in the early days, but since then the tap has run totally dry, so barring the initial month, you can add me to the list.

I got something that was worthless. Sold to the store. So do I qualify?
I've had two in all, but that was a week or two after the drop system was implemented. Back to back, and pretty much crap.
I've seen zero drops since then. I haven't been active all the time, but I estimate the fights I've put in to be around 10k. Not as harsh as some others who have been fighting lots more, but I could use the extra cash.

I would say crappy drops count as drops.
Also, forgers need not apply =P

I don't want to complain or anything, but I've got 1 drop. A Tattoo of Augmentation lvl 20. It got sold at a good price.

Me, but I haven't fought in months so that doesn't really count. The first month or two after the drop system was put into place I fought quite a bit.

I have fought well over 25,000 battles and have not received a drop. Could any of the aforementioned please state approximately how many battles they have fought since the system was implemented?
The problem here is obvious, people that spend more BA on fighting have a higher chance for a drop.
People that can afford to use more BA are USD spenders and NUB.
So yes another good disadvantage for everyone else.
No drop for me, but then I've only spent a handful of BA since it's introduction. ;) So I don't really count.

"The problem here is obvious, people that spend more BA on fighting have a higher chance for a drop."
::nods::
I went 18k fights before my first drop, and I easily cleared 20k between other drops. However, I've received several by now... probably seven or eight.

I honestly have a hard time believing that "luck" has anything to do with this drop system.
When I had Vectoidz in my possession, I was able to fight nearly 24/7. Now since starting my NCB, I have fought a good amount of battles (over 10,000).
I have received not ONE drop. Some have received a dozen.
Yeah this is a big QQ... but really. Something has got to give. I don't think I'm that unlucky. The drop system is a bit ridiculous.

10k doesn't seem that large of a number to me. For all we know, the drop rate could be 1 drop per 10k fights.
The drop rate is determined by two things; The number of battle you fight and when you fight.
The when you fight factor is the biggest of the two of course. Drops happen as they "spawn" then another factor comes into play. That determines if it spawns in auctions or it drops as a bonus for someone fighting at that time.

Reread... 10k was only the count for my NCB (which has only been a few weeks). I have Vectoidz fighting 24/7 for a few months. I'd estimate 30k fights. Is that enough for you?

And if that is the case, a drop every 10,000 battles, then every dropped rare had better be worth 1,000,000 dollars (if tanks are to be viable under current upgrade curves, BA costs, etc).
In summary --
** Approximate cash rewards per battle before change: $500
** Twenty percent off of $500 means loss of: $100 per battle.
** Ten thousand battles accumulates to $1,000,000 in lost cash.
(And I think $500 might be a little low, as I appear to regularly get more than that battle by battle, even now after the 20% reduction.)
SO, every time someone gets a katana as a drop, that is basically the system's way of saying, "I just took 1 million dollars from you over the past several weeks. Better luck next drop."
Certainly sounds fun to me.
And yes, I am beating a dead horse, but please don't counter my argument with "Maybe Jonathan wants less cash in the game." Seriously, think about what you are saying there. If that is what you believe, and no other cost curves were adjusted, you are basically saying , "Maybe Jonathan wants NW-dependent tanks to be less viable alternatives in Carnage Blender." There is no consistent historical, rational, or logical reason to believe that, so it doesn't make an ounce of sense.

In addition, Jon has decreased money rewards many times in the past.
But always a smallish amount about 5%.
This 20% drop was DIRECTLY related to the drop system contrary to those that still want to believe otherwise. They were in the same changelog and it even stated the relationship.
This is an addition that failed. Failed to generate thrills for the game. Failed to generate the excitement of camping. It was a good idea, just not one for a game such as CB.
Tweak it to 10% less cash from 20% and it still is a bad idea for the CB game. It may make it more palatable, but makes it no less of a bad idea.
I feel like the pool is too small, and is mostly filled with bad items.
