You and 9-19 of your fellow blenders will engage in a ruthless battle for supremacy, Football Blender style!


This is a team tournament, each team has the following positions to be filled.

Quarterback (1)

Kicker (1)

Center (1)

Offensive Guard (1-3)

Offensive Tackle (1-3)

Halfback (1)

Fullback (1-3)

Wide Receiver (1-3)

Tight End (1-3)

Note: some positions, those which are noted with a (1), are mandatory to be filled. All other positions could have more players filling them in case more people join.

Scoring Points

Your team will earn points based on the score of each player, using the following model:

Quarterback related points:
• Every 50k MPR the quarterback has earns 6 points.
• If the kicker can match the quarterback's MPR, each 6 point gain becomes 7 points. For every 50k MPR the kicker has below the quarterback, one of these extra points is deducted. The kicker must match the cumulative MPR of the quarterback, including MPR gained from synergies. (QB MPR = WR MPR + QB MPR)
• For every 100k MPR a wide receiver has, 50k is added to the quarterback's MPR.
• The center must match the non-cumulative MPR of the Quarterback. For every 50k MPR below the quarterback, the opposing team gains 7 points.

Halfback related points:
• Every 100k MPR that the halfback has earns 7 points.
• Half of the MPR of the fullback has is added to the halfback.
• MPRs of the Offensive Guards, and Offensive Tackles are added to the halfback's MPR.
• The Tight end's MPR is added to the Full backs' MPR.

All scores will be rounded to the closest 50k for scoring reasons.

Tattoos are not allowed.
You will start with 1600 BA.
The BA cap will be 4000.
The Tournament Bonus will be 350%.

Your character name MUST follow the following setup:
[Team-name]Your Name[Position (QB, K, HB, FB, OG, OT, C, WR, TE)]
for example: [Carnage]Shade(OT)

The tournament will begin on the 24th at noon server time, and end on the 31st at noon server time. You have until the 23rd to post your FULL roster. First two people to request a team will be able to set the team name and their own position, as well as accept recruits.

Prizes:

The members of the winning team will be awarded 20k per point the team has scored. i.e. if your Winning team scored 50 points every member will win $1 million.
The members of the losing team will be awarded 5k per point the team has scored. i.e. if your Losing team scored 50 points every member will win $200k.

Don't have time to play this (midterms coming up), but I'd like to give slayer mad props for coming up with this.

Both teams seem to have a basic roster but the more people will play, the higher the points (and thus the prizes) will be!

And so the game starts with the Zombies kicking off the ball. Will the blenders score?

Now are we allowed to make two clans for these teams? Personally i think that would be holding with the spirit of the tournament, but I wanted to not get booted for it first.

Tournament characters are unable to make clans.

Next time one of these team themed tourneys come up, I think you guys should have it setup so that our chars are automatically put into 2 clans. Not sure how you would go about that in the code, but I think it's something to think about doing.

Next time put the BA cap on 3500 and put the bonus on little higher than 350%. I think 500% would be much better. Apart from that, tops!

I thought that was the kicker's job? the center could just make his own team lose by giving score off to the other team...

isn't that how it's in real football also? if the center loses the ball, the opposite team could score ;)

However, at the moment, neither Center is making a mistake.

Soooo.... Who won? And why does it say in Community>Tournaments that Nemeritz is the winner of this tournament when I beat him and I'm third place?

The community section always just says that whoever had the highest score won the tourney. It doesn't actually reflect what is going on in it.

...I always realize my mistake too late, heheh. The tounament must officially count the highest SCORE for the winner of the tourney even though, in this tourney, MPR is the factor used for scoring for a team.
I'm just really anxious to know which team gets the win!

I think the tournies auto register highest score. The results on the last tourney showed KO in first and Nem in second, but Nem in face was 1, KO 2, and I was 3rd. Look at the MPR standings for the rank, but remember this tourney has special scoring that adds a variety of MPRS :)

Would be nice if they said final scores.

Team Blender won. Shade and/or Slayer will post official scores.

The tournaments are scripted in such a way that the stats page always shows the players with the highest score to 'win' it.

However, most tournaments have different rules. Because I am a member of this tournament and Slayer came up with it, we have to wait for his final answer.

However I think Team Blender won with 54 vs 37 points.

This would make 1.08 mil earned for the Blenders (each) and $175k for the Zombies (each).

Awesome! I can't wait until Slayer posts it! We did great!

I'll compare these with Shade's scores as well, I suspect it is simply rounding differences, but for scoring purposes we will use my scores considering it only gives everyone more money. :)

Nice Tourny Slayer! I also do think team work helped us get the advantage, a lesson for future team tournys.
