Congrats Zenai! (in General)
October 22 2009 7:12 PM EDT
Zenai has now taken over as the largest single minion character in the game, passing me for good today =)
MPR: FuerGrissa ost Drauka (4276314)
Tell him congrats on being the largest single minion and now being in the top 15 MPR overall. Awesome! /me passes Zen the torch
October 22 2009 7:27 PM EDT
Congratulations, Zenai! Another record broken! May there be many more!
October 22 2009 8:06 PM EDT
Thanks Guys! /me Takes the Torch and hopes not to drop it!
That's just incredible. Keep it up, Zen!
woot, that means he also has the largest minion in the game as well. how much does it cost to buy the expensive option for ya?
October 22 2009 8:37 PM EDT
Just Checked and well it $92,953,338 Right now. /me looks at Rabbit eared Pockets >.<
That cost is catching up to mine. Great job. Just another 9 mil to go :)
i guess nem has the largest minion in the game then, but it won't last long.

15 FuerGrissa ost Drauka (4279260) <===Then me Single Minion.
Nem got Single Minion, at the Time he was the Biggest Single Minion on the Market at 4.4-4.5 Mil MPR if I remember right.
Then he Hired: http://www.carnageblender.com/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg.tcl?msg_id=002tP3
I think this is what he was referring to :-D
yeppers, you are the largest single minion team but nem still has the largest single minion in the game. recruit a minion cost is based on the largest minion, since his cost is higher he is higher. once your cost to add a minion surpasses his, you will be the highest single minion team as well as having the highest minion mpr.
you will catch up quickly as he is now splitting xp between two, therefore your minion is now growing twice as fast as his.
unless someone else has a higher minion recruit cost than nem or if they have four minions you would have to figure out how much xp they have.
my character igot noname was the largest single minion team in the game as well as the largest single minion in the game a few years back.
speaking of that, i still do wish we had that stat tracked even though it wouldn't be me up top any longer!
October 22 2009 9:42 PM EDT
Ahh ok see I did not know about that, Interesting. Well Nem was 4.4-4.5 when he hired so for now that is my goal. I guess the only other way to find the answer to your question dudemus is to ask around. It would be a cool thing to find out though and give me a Goal to go after.
i loved the stat once someone pointed it out to me. oddly enough, picasso's character took it from me i do believe.
i do wish you could see it in the standings page, just for grins!
October 22 2009 11:05 PM EDT
Dang, Zen. Hellish good NCB you've got. Even if you don't wind up with the highest NCB MPR, it's still amazing. My only solace in watching you fly by me is knowing just how expensive it is to maintain a huge single archer. :)
Nice one zen! An example to follow.
October 22 2009 11:36 PM EDT
*looks thinking I already posted in here* ... nope!
yet another one, wtg Z!!! (getting arthritis typing all these congrats to you ;))
October 23 2009 1:58 AM EDT
largest single minion team in the game is probably the thing I would be most proud of out of all the bits and pieces.
I wish I was running a single minion still.
October 23 2009 2:41 AM EDT
Good stuf first : congrats Z-man, knew you could pull it off ;)
Glad to have been of some minor help along the way :P
Zenai, just for the record, since I know you keep a log... just how much CB$ did you use up so far (maybe split between BA and gear) ?
And if you like, if you don't mind, how much did that cost you in USD so far ?
The bad stuff now : so... we all know (or, hopefully, soon will know) just how expensive it was for Zenai to run this NCB, even if we ignore the gear NW (which was by no means negligible, actually, it was the heaviest CB$ sink, but that's another story), don't we ?
We also know he pretty much bought every BA he could, he got most of his natural BA burned, and he had a pretty decent clan bonus all the time.
And still... he made it to, what, 80% of the top MPR ?
Oh, and we are fully aware just how insanely much hiring a single "expensive option" new minion would be for him now, right ?
Granted, he could theoretically get over the top MPR, but it would require him to hire ALL three extra minions with that expensive option !
Seriously... is THAT the amount of CB$ you need to spend in order to get to the alleged "95% of top MPR" ? Do you really have to follow a single minion strategy to the top and then do massive hiring ? Because I don't see any other way of getting anywhere near those sort-of promised 95%s of the top MPR... or do you... seriously ?
A portion (and not a small one) of the people in that level bought minions, maybe not massive 100m CB minions...
They are that size for a reason, and paid a dear price for it.
As painful as this was for Zenai, I wonder if he thinks it should be any easier than it is. Taking the top mpr is possible and I think that's says a lot about just how fair the system really is.
October 23 2009 10:16 AM EDT
It's not a question of fairness, it's a question of whether or not the system Jon set in place is working as planned. If Jon intended for N*Bs to reach 95% (was it really that high?), then you have to wonder if it's even feasible.
However, looking to Zenai to answer that question isn't fair. Zen chose to run one of the most expensive setups, but a better control may be someone getting that high without selling bodily organs for CB$.
Here's a successful NCB that doesn't involve a tank:
"If Jon intended for N*Bs to reach 95% (was it really that high?), then you have to wonder if it's even feasible."
Quite feasible and possible. If you run it right, and hire at the right time, it's quite easy to even overtake the top with an NCB run. (and by easy, I don't mean easy at all, I mean really hard but possible XD) Oh, and awesome job by the way. Be sure to hire three minions after your run to prove my point ;P.

"Zenai, just for the record, since I know you keep a log... just how much CB$ did you use up so far (maybe split between BA and gear) ?

Hope this Clears things up :-D
$630 USD for 199 Mils in Loans During NCB(all but 2 paid in full right now)
$375 for 75 Mil Bought During NCB
$345 For 71 Mil Bought Before NCB
$310 In Tat Insta's Throughout NCB
The Gift (Named ToA ) 4,908,785 - NW 89,016,771
The War Wizard's Gift (Named x2 ToA ) lvl 6,001,173 - NW $108,823,948
Insta'd The War Wizard's Gift and $X USD for Stuff of Legends(ToA)NW $155,244,895 (Renamed Tattoo:The War Wizard Gift)
Preparations: 12,000,000 Mil for Naming + 45,003,449 Mil for Items & Upgrades(To Basic Starting lvls) = 57,003,449 Mil
Plus I DE'ed Truthseeker My MSKer for 63 Mil
So 71 Mil + 63 Mil = 134 Mil in Preparations on CBD Alone
134 + 57 = 191 Mil in Preparations overall +
75 Mil Bought During NCB +
199 Mil in Loans During NCB +
11 Mil in Auctions, Sales and Supporterships = $476 Mil
(100+ Mil of this went to BA alone................)
$1005 USD During NCB +
$345 USD in Preparations +
$310 USD in Tattoo Insta's/Deals = $1,660 USD Overall
"They are that size for a reason, and paid a dear price for it.

Honestly I am kind of torn on the answer to this. This is my first NCB so I have nothing else to compare it to. Easier for "Who" would be the prime word added to your question novice. See if Archers/Tanks were too much easier then USD spenders could overrun the Ladder/Tiers. Too much harder and noone running an Archer/Tank could make it at all. Still yes it was extremely hard and I feel a bit of leniency for Tanks/Archers should be put in place the right amount I just could not tell you.
"However, looking to Zenai to answer that question isn't fair. Zen chose to run one of the most expensive setups, but a better control may be someone getting that high without selling bodily organs for CB$."
Indeed this was by far the most expensive thing I have done for a game yet! The Viability for an Archer/Tank as a successful NCB without major backing or insane planning(both in-game and out) is doomed to failure in my opinion. Plain and Simple it's just too Expensive. BA costs alone were over 100 Mil and that number is still growing! Factor in Upgrades for just one minion as in my case and holy mackerel!
My personal opinion is that it was insanely expensive, I could have done better with all of the investment, if I had been more experienced my MPR could be that of LR's Growth Rate right now only 1 Month Ahead. Overall I feel that I did ok, with the planning, Experience, Help, Guidance, and Backing that I got. In other words I did the best I could with what I had and I do not think I did too badly. I have broken many Records and Hit Several Milestones and even made an NCB History Milestone!
By the Way thankyou novice for all of the advice! Forger Furry if not for you having my back I would never have gotten this far! To all of the others who have helped me get to where I am with this NCB Thankyou for helping and believing in me. I hope that I have not disappointed you!
/me breaks into an enthusiastic applause at the end of Zenai's speech.
You are an inspiration!

Z, is the man. talk about appreciating the effort + expense... wow.
"$1,660 USD Overall"
I died a little inside when I read this.
Congrats on the great great run so far and the impressive team!
Congrats Zenai. I knew you would do something crazily insane like this one day :). Gotta hand it to you; You done an excellent job. Keep up all the good work!!!
October 24 2009 6:28 AM EDT
amazing job Zenai!!!
October 24 2009 7:20 AM EDT
Haven't read half of the thread. I just want to congratulate you with this achievement :)
Don't get me wrong, I respect what you've done Zenai. Its an amazing feat to be honest.
But almost two thousand dollars spent on this game and very little of it went to the game itself... Thats just insane.

Tyriel I am sorry to hear this, dunno why that is happening though.
"Don't get me wrong, I respect what you've done Zenai. Its an amazing feat to be honest."
Thank you very much SG It has been a very long bumpy road! :-)
"But almost two thousand dollars spent on this game and very little of it went to the game itself... That's just insane."
SG it's all about perspective to me, it always has been. Yes many other people will see things how they choose to no matter what and will probably over-analyze or judge me for what I am about to say, so be it.
Everyone I bought CBD from either needed the USD, was helping me out or was a drag to this game. So in essence I helped other people, other people helped me, and I helped the game by expediting the exit of an unwanted element. Just for the record every CBD I bought has indeed gone directly back in to this game via Upgrades, Insta's or Bought BA.
In PMs someone said that using USD is akin to cheating and involves no Strategy whatsoever and that it was beneath me because I have a good strategic mind. I responded with a simple statement after a background scenario. I stepped out of CB 3 Years ago(now 4) because I was angry about the departure/shutdown of CB 1. When I came back there was so much I was overwhelmed, I noted that I missed a ton of things such as a NUB(because I still bought a supportership) and an NCB.
"By strategically using my USD I made up for my 3 year absence to get the size of Char with items that I would have had if I had stayed. So how is that doing something beneath my strategic mind when I have effectively circumvented time and have gotten, coupled with hard work, everything I aimed for from the start? Spending/Using USD does not equal a Win, it takes thought, planning and proper execution in other words......Strategy."
I spent my money on something I like and have no regrets in doing so.
October 24 2009 10:33 AM EDT
It's his money, he earned it, let him do as he wishes with it.
Good job Zenai, you're doing amazingly good. :)
I just compared myself to you, I am not that far off from you. :P
October 24 2009 10:41 AM EDT
"I spent my money on something I like and have no regrets in doing so."
I think I've used that quote at a strip joint before. The only real questions is this: Does your wife/GF know you've spent it? :)
October 24 2009 10:58 AM EDT
Burton: Yeah it is scary out Graphs look so similar that is is not even funny....it's insane!
Demi: XDXDXD great line Demi! Yeah she knows but it was with the extra cash I saved up for games anyway so it's not a big deal.....lol
She get's an allowance for Her Hobbies and I get one for my Games so it's all good :-D
i have been against usd influence since cb1 and hoped cb2 would shut that down, jon chose otherwise though.
with that being said, usd spenders and nub sellouts are all working within the rules of the game as they are now set and thus cannot be cheating or even abusive.
in other words, get mad at the game rules not the people who are working within them!
Oh please, not mad at the game. If anything, jealous that some of ya'll have the money to spare on something like this. I know I couldn't afford anything like that for some time.
October 24 2009 11:58 AM EDT
Hehe a lot of that has been saved up for a while, my wife was wondering when I was gonna start spending it, plus it has a decent boost from income taxes(I got a share for my entertainment as did she :-D)
