Do you like role playing? (in Off-topic)

No really, do you? I was wondering how many people here do the role playing thing in their own free time, or if the old pen & paper past-time has been supplanted by video games.

I personally play a couple in my own time (mainly just CyberGen), and was wondering if anyone still does this now a days. I realize that many of you might have dabbled in them when you were kids, but have you left it behind now?

I like RPGing! It's fun what you have time on your hands! :D

I definitely do DnD. Though not as much during the actual school year.

Some day I will convince you to play too 3/4ths.

I still rock the D&D, I actually played last Saturday...

Now I am looking forward to playing some Pathfinder, it is from the people who used to publish the magazines called Dragon (for players) and Dungeon (for GMs) think of it as 3.75 =)

I loved DnD with some of my old friends, but at college I don't have time for hardly anything... Stupid learning always gets in the way. I find it hard for anything to replace such the "do what you want" idea of DnD. Even with games becoming more advanced, they have a long way to go.

lol, j/king guys. The only RPGs I ever got into were video game RPGS, which I enjoyed immensely. A lot of my friends play DnD and other pen and paper RPGs, but I find myself too busy to take part. Some of my best friends play 3-4 times a week O.O.

I am REALLY stoked for that new game coming out though, Dragon Age: origins, or whatever. Might have to borrow a 360 to play that. Also, Darkstalkers looks amazing.

I used to play Vampire back in the day, but I haven't had an RP group in years. I'd love to get back into it someday.

I dabble in p&p RPG's. I've been playing Basic Fantasy with some friends lately. (Think AD&D.)
I'd love to see a fully-fledged DnD 3.5 or 4.0 campaign utilizing Google Wave.

Hm, do I like role playing... Hm... I role play in forums. Not sure how familiar anyone here is with IMVU.... That's where I do most of mine at. :) Also participate in Fexy's CGen games as well. Tried Furcadia, but not for me. Love the console RPG's and Warcraft (not WoW) games. :) I used to participate in LARPing (We called it MELEE because there was no magic), but the group died out. I miss my 4 foot sword :P

I love playing D&D! But most the guys I want to play with always say that girls think its to boring....Maybe you guys are afraid to get yall's butt whipped? haha! J/P

I play the occasional DnD and super hero games with family and friends. It is a really fun thing to participate in.

We've had 6(+?)women in Cgen. Girls do get bored easily. ;)

Most of the time the girls have more fun playing then the guys as we aren't shooting people up ALL the time.

Vampire (Werewolf sucked, renown was >_<. Mage was too unbalanced. Wraith and Changeling weren't great to play either)

Now playing the New Worlds of Darkness.

I'm sure I'm missing a few. We've tried out just about every RPG around on time or another (but stear clear of the whole D20 phase).

We started as usual, Monty Haul dungeon romps. Cyberpunk really changed how we RPed, we matured into it and started playing more character/story driven games, then just "Look how strong my character is! Look at me gear and how much I can kill!!!".

Now days, it's all about the character, and your Role Playing. Sure, sometimes we all roll up an Uber 'warrior' type, but it's all done, and played *in character*. Which is a world apart from where we started in DnD.

SLA had a lovely setting and background. But (like many other games we've payed) the system had some major flaws. ;)

I haven't had the time to play in a long time. I don't think I ever even touched 3.5... I stopped shortly before it came out.

i like to rolplay in a online game called POPMUNDO. its a game where u make a band and try to build your fame around the world.

Back on topic, I'm currently playing in two HERO System campaigns, as well as GMing one. I'm also playing in a L5R game and a 4th edition game.

It looks like there is an Earthdawn game coming up on the horizon, too. Which is good, because I love Earthdawn.

A word of advice. Journeyman can seriously mess up the power level of the game. ;)
