NES: Anything Castlevania, Mega Man, or Dragon Warrior, if you can find them.
SNES: Zelda.
Play Stations: Castlevania. Blood Omen and the rest of the Kain games. Dragon Quest seven and eight.
DS: Castlevania. Notice a trend?
Genesis: Shining Force. Both of them. And Shining in the Darkness. These were favorites from my youth.
"Nintendo 64
Super Smash Bros.
Golden Eye
Perfect Dark"
You absolutely need those. In fact, the next thing you do should be to buy them. Forget food, sleep, human company...that's not important.
Get the games.

Bubble Bobble on DS isn't nearly as fun as it is on the NES.
But I wanted to point out a few more Nintendo DS games that I thought were well done.
Nintendo DS:
- Almost all the Castlevania games on DS are actually well done and you should definitely include them. (Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia)
- Puzzle Quest is very addicting.
- New Super Mario Bros is fun but a short to beat game.
- The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is pretty fun.
- Advance Wars: Dual Strike is a great turn-based strategy game that fans of Risk will like.
- Meteos Disney Magic (don't like the disney part fool you, the original Meteos game is fun, but this is Meteos with some significant improvements)
- Metroid Prime: Hunters is an interesting and challenging game, but the control style takes a bit to get used to.

You won $300?!, buy an updated system and get with the times.
If you must keep your old consoles, then all I can suggest is:
Grand Theft Auto Series for PS2
Actually he could get an Emulation program for a 360 or PS3 and have all of his games converted. Furthermore he could also go to several places that offer the Game Bundles of like all of the Older Consoles. Each sold separately of course. Buddy of mine got all published copies of NES, SNES, Sega, & PS1 on Disc with an Emulation Program for relatively cheap.

GateMan, I enyoy playing an old console more then I do playing most new games. So I'm sticking with my little collection like this, I'm _not_ interested in getting an Xbox or PS3.

Turok, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Rush, Tony Hawk, Vigilante 8, Battle zone Rise of the Black Dogs, Mario Kart64, Wipe out, Quake, Doom, Command and Conquer, Blitz, Pokemon Stadium so you won't waste batteries, every Zelda, and maybe 2 Star Wars games besides Rogue Squadron. Notice this is all for the N64. That system was an illegal pleasure.
