I want more, we want more! (in General)

Drama [Just for fun] November 30 2009 6:06 PM EST

And that is why I thought of;

Instead of just a new item, why not add a new armor piece, the belt.

QBOddBird November 30 2009 6:07 PM EST

PANTS

Drama [Just for fun] November 30 2009 6:07 PM EST

RING

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] November 30 2009 6:08 PM EST

belts are kind of silly without pants. ; )

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] November 30 2009 6:08 PM EST

Cod Piece / G String!

You know you want it!

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] November 30 2009 6:10 PM EST

Etchings, Embossings, Filigree, and Insets for Weapons and Armor.

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] November 30 2009 6:12 PM EST

fake eyes

three4thsforsaken November 30 2009 6:14 PM EST

TAIL

Guardian November 30 2009 6:21 PM EST

belt and ring would be awesome!

Joel November 30 2009 6:25 PM EST

Cod piece! Even if it wasn't very good, everyone would be trying to upgrade it higher than everyone else!

QBOddBird November 30 2009 6:27 PM EST

Remember, it's not about the size of the codpiece, it's how you...well yes, it's about the size of the codpiece

Eurynome Bartleby [Bartleby's] November 30 2009 6:31 PM EST

Just make MenC + GoM useful?

QBOddBird November 30 2009 6:36 PM EST

It would be awesome if those 2 items got extended to 1-handed items on the whole

Would help them compete with the MH and the power of the BoNE

:D

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] November 30 2009 6:46 PM EST

I've always thought we should break boots down into boots and greaves. Rings and belts would also be cool.

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- November 30 2009 8:23 PM EST

Black Hole Briefs. - +1% dex per +. (Not having to stop and take off armor to use the bathroom would be a huge bonus in a wartime setting)

:P

BHT November 30 2009 8:45 PM EST

Rings are needed!

Eurynome Bartleby [Bartleby's] November 30 2009 8:53 PM EST

Pants...Ok. But not ordinary pants. Something like this:

They would have no initial stats, kinda like our current tunics. Thing is, the pants would have a certain percentage of chance, every fight, to have something done to them. Call it "Pants Event", or "Pants Happening", whatever.

When it's Pants Time, you get a message, in beautiful purple on top of your screen that goes: "Your enemy's corpse explodes, leaving your pants soaked with blood! Oh no!" From that moment on and for an X period of time (perhaps until next Pants Event), you would not be wearing pants, but "Blood-Soaked Pants". That give a bonus or maybe a malus, to some skill or spell. Hey, it doesn't even have to be a battle effect. It could add flavor text in battle, change something in the interface...Blood Soaked Pants could appear red in your inventory.
Not necessarily gameplay-based.

Next time you hit a Pants Moment, maybe someone will spill beer on your pants and make them flammable. Maybe another corpse will explode near your Blood-Soaked Pants and will make them the much more awesome Guts Pants.

CB could keep track of your pants statistics so you could go: "Pfft, 10 million MPR. That's nothing compared to the 1498 times my pants were cast into a volcano!"

They'd be un-transferable. Everybody would get one. Drop system would become a Pants Moment random generator. We'd get a new type of item.

Yeah. Pantspantspants

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] November 30 2009 10:24 PM EST

oh noes! beer is flammable?

i want pantaloons of death!

; )

Wraithlin November 30 2009 10:31 PM EST

I think you should be able to set up someone in your clan you are defending. Until you change it, anyone that attacks the person you are defending will fight you instead. They won't know you are defending them until they fight once and figure it out. Of course your clan ally can't get defensive wins if you are defending them.

If two people defend each other, that's fine, it just means that either one you attack, you instead fight the other guy.

This would allow clan fighting to have a whole new level of tactical deception and fighting. Would allow the bigger clan people to protect some of thier smaller clanners, and would allow multiple larger people to strategically swap back and forth thier defenses while an opponent is farming to try to get defensive kills.

Wraithlin November 30 2009 10:33 PM EST

Maybe if this is too harsh for some people, you can see that someone is being defended but not by who. So you at least have a heads up that you're about to fight someone you're not intending to.

TheHatchetman November 30 2009 11:28 PM EST

anything to get more AC ^_^

RaptorX November 30 2009 11:45 PM EST

How about asbestos pants or a warm overcoat? One would protect against Fireball and Missle, while the other protect against CoC??
I like coats.

But pants are nice too. I would like anything for AC and DX + mostly. Maybe Elven pants? And also have Steel/Mithril pants for high A/C protection when people who don't want to move much. Or Warm Pants for CoC protection and Shorts for Evasion or Magic dodging pants - like DBs for Magic - call them Enchanted or Merlin pants perhaps - even if it only causes misses now and then that would be cool.

How about a hair braid or something to show your warrior is a boy or a girl?

QBOddBird December 1 2009 12:15 AM EST

Elven Pants, I approve

Also Mithril Pants!

A Lesser AR of 15 [Red Permanent Assurance] December 1 2009 12:38 AM EST

CHAPS!

RaptorX December 1 2009 12:57 AM EST

Chaps? that's funny. Those would be fireproof and rugged too.
"Hi, ho, Silver. Away!"

How about a six shooter? maybe a Colt 45? Make it shoot 6 times a round and miss half of them. ... hmm wrong century.

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] December 1 2009 12:58 AM EST

Rapid Fire Wrist XBow!

QBJohnnywas December 1 2009 1:00 AM EST

Some teams (and players)are getting very old.

Elven Wigs. Troll False Teeth. Mithril Incontinence Pants.

alaskanpsyko December 1 2009 1:02 AM EST

how about glass armor/weapon? decent enchantments and protection against ED/EO/DD?

blackshadowshade December 1 2009 2:48 AM EST

Give us laser sights and night vision goggles! Oh wait, we're not playing Splinter Cell.

AdminNightStrike December 1 2009 1:26 PM EST

What would really be nice on a more serious note is creating actual sets that have a combined power of more than the particulate sum. That was a Diablo thing, right?

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] December 1 2009 1:27 PM EST

Yo. ;)

Set bonuses eh?

(Oh and you guys above, hands off my ring!)

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] December 1 2009 1:28 PM EST

yup a start would be elven and maybe add a elven helm/circlet

(suggested before) forget the post but Jon seemed interested too.

AdminNightStrike December 1 2009 1:31 PM EST

What's all that's left for elven stuff? just a hat and shirt?

AdminTal Destra December 1 2009 1:32 PM EST

PANTS!

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] December 1 2009 1:32 PM EST

Don't need a shirt.

Shield, and Helm I think.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] December 1 2009 1:33 PM EST

Oh and Amulet.

QBRanger December 1 2009 4:57 PM EST

Instead of new things to get wrong, I would rather just fix those things we know to be already borked.

Like the RBF vs SG/EF. Like the tutorial.

Perhaps adding a missile salvage yard.

Fixing or balancing the exbow.

Or getting the admins/ops standardized on how things are handled.

{Wookie}-Jir.Vr- December 2 2009 12:59 AM EST

Bump...

I would prefer Ranger's method. But I won't say no to a new item, or set bonuses for current items. Would make the game more interesting.

But what other sets do we have besides Elven? Mithril?

That's not much choice. So maybe we should start filling out the rest of the sets.

Boots of Alatar etc.
