for the record the link I posted is not a rick-roll....
... might be worse, but at least it is different!

It almost snowed in SF a few years back. The temperature dropped below freezing and I prayed for snow so I could snowboard down Lombard street.

I drove down Lombard street backwards! Good times. Snowboarding down it would be awesome >:)

The funny thing is that there is no visible snow on the ground here in Eastern Canadia.
We don't even have 5 cms of snow to our name. Heck, I need only a vest to go outside, it's 2 celcius right now.
Please continue stealing our snow, guys.

snow, horrible white muck. starts here in October and finally disappears around march.

Snow even here in El Paso, usually once or twice a year.

Don't you just love Global Warming?
Too bad Climategate is not being covered by any of the main stream media, well except for Fox that is.

    Really Ranger. Is that relevant?
Weather variations like this are not proof one way or the other of climate changes.
Oh no, to day is colder than yesterday, call Fox news, Global Warming is a lie!

.... Ranger, do you have to make every thread a political statement? Seriously?
First snow in New Jersey was today! Won a dollar off a friend who didn't believe that it would snow :)

    Umm,
If you did not read the first post, this was a political thread from the beginning.

no... that was a joke by kevlar...
He didn't attempt to assert a position one way or the other and the powered sugar reference I think was unambiguous...

    AH, I get it now.
Kevlar makes a joke or statement and it is just water under the bridge.
Thanks for the clarification.

It wasn't intended to be a political thread, but it was a good poke at Al Gore, and was a joke. If you need my stance, he's a green weenie :)
Heard it's snowing up north back home, so watch out Bartleby you just might be getting some soon!

yes Ranger, I am persecuting just you...
I understand that making a joke about powdered sugar is essentially the same as claiming that Fox News are the only ones willing to cover 'climategate' in that both are highly charged political notions.
I apologize for my horribly oppressive rant and here by will hence forth seek to mend my biased ways.

"We don't even have 5 cms of snow to our name. Heck, I need only a vest to go outside, it's 2 celcius right now."
Yeah, can't wait anymore for the snow... I been outdoor all day wearing a T-shirt, it's supposed to be a lot colder :(

I would like to apologize to Kevlar for hijacking his thread with squabbles...
Poor form and I know it. I suggested letting things slide in another thread recently and would do well to take my own advice.
Again, sorry, I will try to be better behaved in the future.

Aaaaargh! I knew I would jinx myself by posting here!
Snow. Falling. From the sky. This is horrible.

I'm surprised that a state of emergency hasn't been declared. "A centimeter of snow in Mobile?! Call out the Guard!"

Maybe the alligators will get sick so the hounds can get away without incident. Can you imagine a pic of frost on an alligator's eyelashes? Bet that would sell.

I think if an alligator had frost on its eyelashes it might soon be a dead alligator. Those non-mammals have a hard time with cold, lack of homeostasis and all. I wonder how long the poor creature could last? They are probably fairly tough...
