Feature Request: More accuracy to the RPM (in General)

I would like more digits of accuracy to be added to the rough progress meter in the forge.

Assuming there is no rounding done by the forge (why would there be?) this shouldn't be too hard to do (I assume).

I've gotten RPM: 100.000% a couple of times before and it'd be nice to know exactly how close I am to truly getting 100%.

Plus, as I'm forging, getting ~0.059-0.061% RPM increase per cycle (and if I continue to the next (+) once I finish my current one, ~0.04% per cycle), it'd be nice to know what exactly I'm getting.

Instead of:
Rough Progress Meter: XX.XXX%

I'd prefer:
Rough Progress Meter: XX.XXXXX%

Pretty please? I'm willing to donate to Charity (for this minor change) if that's what it takes.

Mitt, depending on what data types are in use, there is probably a limitation on significant digits for display.

However, that number of digits should be at least 7 or 8, and if double accuracy types are used, 15 or 16. I'm not sure what Tcl uses in that regard.

As items get larger and larger (thereby making forge cycles more and more fractional), your request makes increasing amounts of sense.

I would think this a nice change for the forging side of CB as opposed to all the nice things we have gotten for the Tournaments. :)

I will back anything that will help forgers. If a donation to Charity is needed, count me in.

but... "Rough" progress meter.......?

For most players, at this point, it is nowhere close to being "rough".

If you really wanted it to be "rough", make it in 25% intervals, like "just started"; "getting there"; "significant progress"; "almost done".

I just feel like the game has progressed enough to the point where extra digits, while not a necessity, have a potential benefit to forging. If you had asked me this a year ago, no single item had been upgraded to the point where single cycles had less than 0.5% RPM, let alone 0.06%.

It does make sense. Maybe make it a supporter preference to choose whether you want the RPM or a CPM : )

It may have minor benefits, but also take into account, it looks pretty ugly to have tons of trailing digits.

Thats what I thought, so if you make it a supporter setting then you can choose if you want to see the ugly digits :P
