I'd hereby like to thank NightStrike publicly for all the recent additions and changes he has made to a lot of parts for the Tournament in which the T-mode people can make more and better Tournaments for the players!

I would like to see feedback from those that do not participate in tourneys as to why they do not.

Perhaps we can adjust things to make them more appealing to everyone.

I am participating this time around, but the main reasons why I usually don't are because I don't have the time to burn BA with two teams, and because I normally miss the start date and feel I can't catch up.

It has nothing to do with the quality of the tournaments themselves, which I feel are great.

With the ability to give new T characters XP to start, I will have such a mechanism for my tourney. Each day starting characters will get a bit more starting XP.

However there are downsides to starting later but this should diminish it a bit.

Don't forget with separate items and no xfer, we'll be likely to be able to do starting money tourneys as well.

I'm starting to feel kind of tired of constant tourneys.
My main reason for feeling this way is that my BA regen rate is essentially that of my Tourney character and not that of my main character.
I have to manage my sleep based on the BA regen rate of my tourney character instead of being able to sleep over 8 hours with my newly acquired 6/20 BA regen rate.
I would never feel like skipping a tourney if my tourney character's BA regen rate was always the same as my main character's.
What would be the downside of such a tourney feature?

Joel, good news then because we can make tournaments which have a fixed amount of BA in which you can miss some of your replenishes.

For those who do not yet know.

The following is the latest addition to tournies:

1) No ability to use/abuse auctions. A closed system.
2) A new tourney only store where the prices of items and what items will be sold can be set. Including supporter items.

Also with the starting exp you start out in a better regen instead of necessarily 10 ba.

I forgot about those limited BA tourneys Shade, thanks for reminding me! As for not everyone having 6/20 BA regen, it won't really make a difference to your schedule, regardless of your BA regen, because your BA regen will match your main character's regen. If you're used to having a 8/20 or 7/20 BA regen rate, then you won't have to readjust to a new schedule, because you're already used to you main character's regen rate, right?
Anyway, that not an issue if the tourney has a limited amount of BA that you can spend.

The new closed auctions feature will prevent other players from making tons of money off of tourney characters, right?

Tourney characters will be completely barred from using auctions or the normal store.

This makes for an epic test character as well! :D

Score drain... but I'm hoping that gets a fix too

The regen thing is simple. CB looks at your largest character (probably as of the last cache flush) and sets the regen based on that.

I hope to be able to fix this soon, but will definitely need help from Jon.

Now, perhaps players will join more tourneys, seeing as thats the only way that one can make money from it anymore!

Would there be any possible way to create an option that changes the refresh rate of BA from x/20 to x/10?
