Popup when leaving chat (in General)

Now that chat no longer spams when entering/leaving, can the popup be removed? Its troublesome when I am trying to close cb when somebody (girlfriend/boss) is coming and I need to make a quick getaway.

If you are in a situation where you need to make a quick getaway, turn chat off.

With chat off, there are no pop ups.

I'm going to say it's obsolete to have it now.

Close the window then tap enter. It's pretty quick

It sounds easy when I am normally playing CB. But when I have to close it quickly, this is more accurate:

Calmly playing cb. Casually lean back and see boss/gf rapidly approaching. "OH CRAP! WHAT TO DO?! MUST FIND THAT STUPID RED X TO CLOSE WINDOW! WHY IS IT SO SMALL!? Okay phew, found it, just in the nick of time. oh bugger, not quite." Spend next 5 minutes listening to lecture on working and not slacking.

If the purpose for the pop-up is gone, then I don't see why we still have the window. And more importantly, Mian, learn to keep another browser/program running. Then you just click over and it's hidden. It works for me about four times a day at work. :)

You can still see the Carnage Blender at the bottom. Removing the popup would be useful when I need to close out quickly

perhaps a feature like on Evony where you can change the browser title to be whatever?

Perhaps there is a reason for it still.

We really do not know what NS or Jon feels about it.

I recall the issue of spamming chat by entering and leaving (refreshing the page) from CB1. It was definitely a problem, but that has since been resolved. Without NS or Jon chiming in, I really can't imagine another purpose for it.

Unless it's a draconian method of player retention. :)

Thanks to Mian and to whichever admin (likely NS) tweaked it.

I just realized that we have now lost our protection against rouge clicking >.< Now if I accidentally click on a bookmark, it will throw me far away from CB. :(
