Items Economy? (in General)

What gives? I see a bunch of WTB threads but no or few FS threads. Also in auctions there are 5 items FS, 3 of which are user auctions. This sucks.

Both times I tried to sell my SBs to someone who had made a thread wanting to buy them, I was told that they couldn't afford them. So...

Well I decided to buy DBs instead, however is this a byproduct of there being like zero new players? Without seeing any stats I cant make any solid statements, but maybe somebody knows?

I assume it's not a problem of lack of items, but lack of people willing to sell those items, for whatever reason.

I agree I find it hard to get a hold of the items I want to change my strategy. Its been a few weeks now the Auction has been slim pickings. The Rentals market went a long time ago in my opinion, it used to be a decent income for me when I was renting the gear I didnt need at that time. I consistently run ncbs so changing my strat and using different gear at different times help, which is why I see many others not getting rid of their rares.

didn't lots of them RARE items before the change in tournys get burned up in auctions being bought by tourny players?


didn't the drop system reduce cash and rare items by dispensing them RARE items RANDOMLY to 6 people?

oh and also the people that do have them RARE items aren't selling them now bec they aren't getting the goofy inflated high prices on them laundering tourny cash anymore

And sadly, those few FS threads are selling base items. There are no high-NW items to insta up to anymore, because of disenchanting.

Wasn't it just 2 weeks ago when everybody was talking about how they wished rare items were actually rare? Now that it is harder to find items everyone is talking about how bad this is.

Perhaps people are keeping their drops. Or selling them to clanmates who need them instead of putting a FS post or auctioning them.

We have had this situation before and within a week the auctions were flooded with items.

It is a cyclical thing.

i have been sending my items to the charity character to help out the child's play charity. ; )

Yea i've been looking through auctions and FS threads and there are no FS threads and no items in auctions. its like 3 ITEmS now... for 180 active people, is that really enough? There should be at least 10 items daily spawning

AK, your rentals are also freakishly cheap. You had a corn +8 for 1k for 28 days...

That was me. Notice that I am not complaining. In fact this makes me quite happy. So I think you are over generalizing your pro-rare group as the whole CB community.

i think i know what the problem is....all those players who have the rares and then leave the game without selling off their items. So in essence we think we have 300 of this item or 200 of that when in actuality we probably just have much less, because the items are stuck on players who no longer play. I think we need a change where if a player doesn't play the game anymore for X amount of time, before their account is deleted, their items are automatically put into the auctions. Cause we have alot of thse people like previously discussed pro players maybe 40 or more that left in past 2-3 months, so imagine all those people probably had a good amount of rares, now completely useless.
I think we should get rid of the rare system altogether and just have various "useful" items catering to different strats. Don't spam them all over, but enough so new players or old players switching strats can actually find them in auctions. Cause atm, no one is seems to be selling anything or has FS threads anymore. I posted several WTB threads in past 2 weeks, i got ZERO replies after so much time....

I don't know why you think so Scy, i was playing CB2 since it came out and played CB1 for some years as well.

I don't think we should be auctioning other players' items just because they haven't been here the past months... There is players who come back from a long break (I took a 4years one myself, and would have been very mad to see my stuff got auctioned even if I had barely nothing).
