we need flexibility (in General)

hi there me again with some more ideas to be shot down. From what i have heard people are not happy with the stagnation and repetition that develops in the later game. It costs too much mpr and exp to change strat and unless u use an roe for months on end u can't adjust your exp distribution. But at least what u start your character as does freeze u into a position that only starting anew ncb can get u out of.

This would be made even better when the nub and ncb finally get removed and is replaced by a rolling bonus that the majority of the community want. Change and flexibility is what we need if we want to bring new life to our game here.

We've talked about the idea of getting a free retrain every time a characters has its birthday to be used any time in the next year and many people liked the idea and i wish to put that idea again.

I also want to put forward a change in how exp is distributed on a team. I would like to c it that when exp is earned it is given not to the minions but to the character in an exp training pool. This exp can then be distributed to any minion however the character wishes this would also mean when untraining the exp will go back into the character exp pool.

This means people can have their silly single minion teams with 3 useless kill slots that everyone seems to go on about or u can evenly distribute your exp among all minions creating 4 weak minions or u can have a good sized damage dealer or 2 and 2-3 minions that have some exp and can actually be used for some good.

I believe the limitations placed on training and accumulating exp is part of the reason for stagnation in the upper tiers and also for generating some of the boredom people have been complaining about.

Feel free to shoot me down i know this community loves to do so :P

I used to be very very much against free retrains.

However, with the stagnation of CB, this would be a good idea for a while.

However, if CB gets to be back to its normal self, I would then get rid of this feature.

As far as the minion xp distribution, that is not a good idea. It is the one thing that really distinguishes between characters. Like buying and selling of just minions that can be added/subtracted from a character, this is a bad idea IMO.

AA, I agree with most of your points. I agree with Ranger on the exp distribution, because it does distinguish between single/multi minion teams.
But will these changes ever get implemented? If CB ran like a democracy, we already would have seen these changes...
Unfortunately, it is a dictatorship, so we must pray the admins hear our calls for change.
Of course, I'm not putting down the admins, they do their job as they see fit, and when they do implement change, usually it is positive change.
I just think CB would be much better off if it did indeed run like a democracy should. It's good strategy in keeping your fan-base, and expanding in popularity. If you give the people what they want (when reasonable), you may see more staying power per individual in this community.

Unfortunately, it is a dictatorship

That sounds very dramatic. I get that you're frustrated... but
When the democracy does all the work, then they can decide what features are worth implementing...

And I know that's not a solution, but it is the situation CB is in. So live with it.

could make it a supporter feature, could even charge a fee to help the game out. Something like pay a fee, have a certain amount of time to try the strat out after the retrain is done, and if you don't like it afterall... you can retract the change and have it go back to the way it was before (exactly like re-inking a tat), however often it would be agreed to be allowed (once a year, once every 6 months, etc).

I would like a small window every month for a retrain. I think the benefits will far outweigh the problems.

User retention will go way up because everyone is burning with anticipation for that new idea they want to try next month! Strat discussions will be back! I think it'll be a lot of fun.

AA, that XP distribution would kill minion choice.

We might all just have 4 minions, with no choice. As it would be better than any other option.

If you wanted to run 1, 2 or 3 minions, you still could, with the added benefits of kill slots and Item slots, with your XP distribution of choice.

Naw, no free retrains are needed, nor for that matter is the "distribute XP anywhere you like" (that's way too much freedom).

ALL that is needed is to just turn the RoE into an AMULET instead, so it can be used alongside a tattoo, and allowing PARTIAL untrains (seriously, if I have 6001452 HP, I want to be able to just untrain 1452 HP, NOT be forced to untrain everything).

Both of these things will enable more dynamism in the upper levels and lesser overall MPR losses (they'd still be there, just not as insane), then last but not least a much better ability to fine-tune XP distribution.

I suggested the RoE as an amulet as well, but GL made a strong argument against it and it took me a while to understand his point, but I finally did ;)
