Ok, so I finally finished getting tournament scores to function. This has been a massive uphill battle the whole way, but it's done. Here's how things will work:
At the start of a tournament, all t-scores will be set equal to score. This mainly has effect for non-tournament parties. Tournament parties will then have their rewards based on the t-score of the non-t-party they fight, and the non-t-party will similarly have score be unaffected by the tournament party. Instead, t-score will increase/decrease as a result of the outcome of the fight.
This will close the biggest hole we have in the score system -- that is, tournaments will no longer suck score dry. CB will slowly regain its more natural score distribution that we had prior to the last 51 tournaments.
I'm going to let Natasha field all the fallout from this change :)
Awesome change! Now all you have to do is fix the bug that stalemates count as a loss of score. Unless that is feature to pull down the top scores.
Stalemates have always been a score loss by design.

Seem's only bad things are coming from that in my opinion.
Nice , one problem fixed.
I am going to have to agree with Kefeck. It is to easy and powerful to abuse.
if stalemates had no effect on score at all, how would that be exploitable?
"if stalemates had no effect on score at all, how would that be exploitable?"
I can't see how it could....but having them lose score is obviously very exploitable.
i think that when stalemates gave some rewards, xp definitely but unsure of cash, then the score effect made since. once stalemates were made to be rewardless, the score effect should have likely been tossed out as well.

I am really glad to see this change completed. :)
Concerning stalemates effecting scores;
My understanding has been for a while that the manipulation of score with non-fighting methods is legit and part of the game. There is always some kind of penalty for it, in this case it's the BA spent.
it would appear that encouraging manipulation of scores is the only reason for stalemates affecting score then?
