Badfish, what kind of freaky cat do you have that wakes you up in the middle of the night screaming bloody murder because it soiled itself? You need a new cat, man.

At first, a baby is almost easier than a puppy, since they're immobile. Sure, they still need you do to everything for them, waking up in the middle of the night etc, but at least you can delay baby-proofing for a while. ;)

But once they figure out how to crawl then walk... *shudders*

FYI I'm a dad of 19 month old twin boys. My wife is a morning person and I'm a night person, and that coverage worked very well for us for the late nights and early mornings... hopefully you can pull something similar off. (=
