since our former thread was closed, i assume since it was started a while ago and not by an admin, let us please continue any discussion here!

; )

QBOddBird August 16 2010 8:23 PM EDT

Boooooooo, I do not like the 30 day thread closure thing right about now

Minnakht August 16 2010 8:30 PM EDT

Wow, it topped 300 posts!

Unfortunately guild upgrades start costing mushrooms after level 25. 50% exp and gold is still a very nice boost though.

winner winner August 16 2010 8:33 PM EDT

we should start merging soon! otherwise it'll waste gold for all the guilds when we merge

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 16 2010 8:35 PM EDT

i was wondering when it would cost shrooms for the upgrades, that makes me sad!

QBOddBird August 16 2010 8:36 PM EDT

I figured it would start costing shrooms since they were an option for donating. A sad day is coming :'(

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 16 2010 8:38 PM EDT

that means that we have 6 more gold only slots. consolidation just got a bit harder. arf, is there someone we can see the whole upgrade cost scale in one place?

Minnakht August 16 2010 8:44 PM EDT

We can probably plot a regression for the gold.

36->37: 5461

37->38: 5996

40->41: 7847

The number of mushrooms to get from level X to X+1 is

Shrooms: 5(X-24)

The gold really doesn't become a problem as your guild starts to level up. I might be able to donate some shrooms to you guys if my guild leader will let me leave and come back though.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 16 2010 8:51 PM EDT

i don't think that is necessary, but thanks for the offer. we had thought that at least a few people would go inactive and we could then consolidate.

i am happy to be disappointed by the fact that this isn't happening and we are actually adding more continually.
if i understand correctly, 100 mushrooms would only get us to level 30 and cost 10 bucks.

maybe putting all my shrooms into the elite mount will leave at least some left over for the guild and i can buy ten bucks worth so that i can donate.

i guess we can cross that bridge when we come to it though!

AbbathorX August 16 2010 8:52 PM EDT

Here's a list for people that don't like math.

http://forum.sfgame.us/showthread.php?t=9

Might be accurate, who knows?

winner winner August 16 2010 8:54 PM EDT

I don't do the elite mount so I could contribute some mushrooms.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 16 2010 8:55 PM EDT

getting to level 50 would then cost 1625 shrooms not including the gold cost. that many shrooms if purchased would be under 100 bucks. maybe it is time for a cb sale! ; )

QBOddBird August 16 2010 8:56 PM EDT

Good point, if the members of our alliance really wish to get shrooms we can always essentially trade CB assets for SF assets via a CBD sale. :)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 16 2010 8:58 PM EDT

yep and since before you can donate shrooms to the guild you must buy some, it would be more economical for one person to do that...preferably someone who has already purchased some shrooms.

Minnakht August 16 2010 9:09 PM EDT

Ah, nice find abbathorX.

I'd be willing to play this game to get you guys some shrooms. Can anybody hit me up with a good strategy?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 16 2010 9:11 PM EDT

i will send you a fire familiar for your tattoo slot if you want to use that, free of charge. ; )

Demigod August 16 2010 10:16 PM EDT

302 posts in the last thread. I'm proud.

And like you guys said, 50 is doable. But I doubt we'll need 50. A CBD sale will take care of it, and we can all donate a little to make the burden rather light.

As for consolidating, we're on it. It will still take some time, so don't fear tossing 200g into your own bonuses right now (you'll find that it's not much gold in a few levels anyway).

Anytime you want an update, just post in here and we'll let you know where we are.

Minnakht August 16 2010 11:29 PM EDT

Oh, that reminds me - They have sales on German holidays. Something in the range of 20-25% off.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 16 2010 11:32 PM EDT

woot for oktoberfest! ; )

Demigod August 16 2010 11:33 PM EDT

Someone ask Sebidach when the next German holiday is! I'm far too lazy to use Google. Or to even ask him myself, it seems.

sebidach [The Forgehood] August 17 2010 12:59 AM EDT

3th of October it should be. But I don't now if they count _all_ holidays, or just those that are celebrated in _all_ countries.

A list is at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_holidays_in_Germany

And I just realized that I'm living in a state with just 9 public holidays, should be moving to Bavaria.

elite mount is useless... tiger is more then enough we should just all donate mushrooms to the guild

{WW]Nayab [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 17 2010 7:04 AM EDT

I agree with lostling.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 17 2010 7:50 AM EDT

50 percent reduction means twice as fast of growth and more importantly twice as many opportunities for more shrooms! that is huge. you also get a large chunk of gold when buying them.

i doubt you would be saying that it is the same if we were comparing two clan bonuses on cb, one at 30% and one at 50%. we have had major debates over 5% difference! ; )

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 17 2010 8:08 AM EDT

a 30% decrease in travel equates to 42% more thirst per day whereas a 50% decrease in travel results in a 100% increase in thirst.

lostling August 17 2010 8:19 AM EDT

but wouldnt everyone benefit from a clan upgrade? meaning that the bonus multiplied by the number of people in the clan. furthermore the bonus money is crap... it doesnt even cover 1 of my stat point upgrades

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 17 2010 8:26 AM EDT

if ten people all use the epic mount, they would all be getting twice as much xp and money per day and thus grow faster and donate more in the long run. the faster each clan member grows, the sooner they get to the point where they can donate more.

twenty people at level five really cannot afford to donate as much as ten at level ten.

without using shrooms, guilds can be upgraded to 25 members with a 50 percent increase in xp and gold. the fastest way to get there is to not just have as many members as you can but to have as many high level members and the higher they are as quickly as possible.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 17 2010 8:30 AM EDT

in jabberwocky, we are able to do both and are at 19 members. we still have 6 more upgrades on fortress before having to use mushrooms.

as for a future plan, it is probably better that if any are going to use mushrooms to increase guild size that we consolidate guilds. 3 of us trying to do the same will not have the same effect. in other words, pick one guild and expand that one and start bringing over members from the others.

the amount of new people interested in the game has made that difficult but maybe we can start that now if the other guilds agree that is the direction to take!

QBOddBird August 17 2010 10:30 AM EDT

I think it is the direction to take. +1 from me.

(then again, I'm not from the other guilds)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 17 2010 10:45 AM EDT

jabberwocky is under attack! we need all members to prepare for war by clicking the shield button above guild chat! this will be a tough one but if everyone preps we might just do it!

AdminShade August 17 2010 11:07 AM EDT

Glossy Magazine of the Meek
+12 Dexterity
+10 Strength

Is this worth the mushrooms?

QBOddBird August 17 2010 11:08 AM EDT

I would say no, unless it is a *massive* upgrade to your current equipment.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 17 2010 11:09 AM EDT

no! ; )

AdminShade August 17 2010 11:38 AM EDT

I have no item in that slot but I will save the shrooms for something better :)

lostling August 17 2010 12:24 PM EDT

i NEVER spend shrooms on equips so far the only time ive spent 1 was on the 1 shroom mount

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 17 2010 1:13 PM EDT

I say we dissolve one Clan now. An make two. Please post clan stats here and the clan with the lowest amount of members starts to empty into the other two...The longer we wait the more money will be spent into upgrading a clan that won be there. (we could try to be nice and give it to someone)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 17 2010 1:19 PM EDT

cbiii is the smallest at the moment and we can take one of them now and will try to get 2 or 3 more by the end of the week. lemme go check and see how many they have now...also they haven't upgraded all that much.

i had the idea that we should actually use that guild as a feeder guild into the other two. in effect if we get more new players interested, they go in that guild first and then we move over the older more active players to the other guilds.

i also think that whichever of the two main guilds gets to the level where they need shrooms to upgrade should then be the main guild and we try to get to where we can get all of us in that one guild at some point in the future. it seems inefficient to try to spread out mushroom purchases over the two guilds.

thoughts?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 17 2010 1:22 PM EDT

i am sure loch would use it well on other upgrades, but no longer needed for fortress for now...unless we get new players interested!

Wraithlin August 20 2010 8:03 AM EDT

for those that haven't found out yet...

you can type /gold (amount)

in the guild page and donate that much gold

so if you type

/gold 120

you donate 120 gold

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 20 2010 10:12 AM EDT

i am not sure if everyone can do this, but you can also type /act and then mouse over each character to see the date of their last activity. to toggle it back off you can just type /act once again.

this can help us find inactives in the guilds and clean them out when needed to make room for more. fyi, merikah is not inactive but is without internet while moving! ; )

Is links concerning potions.

An idea I have is (obvious) stock the three potions of your main attributes, then when the day comes to fight a clan war. Drink them.

Drinking two potions of strength with one at +15 and one at +10 will not give you +25. Potions boosting the same attribute will cancel the effect of the previous one, resetting the timer.

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 20 2010 3:53 PM EDT

Oh and thanks to ScrObot for the links

Demigod August 20 2010 4:59 PM EDT

From the link:

The [dungeon bosses] drop experience points and gold OR an item. The chance of getting an item is about 50%. In case an item is dropped you will get an epic item with a chance of 50%.

QBOddBird August 20 2010 6:53 PM EDT

Scout Bow of the Burning Marshmallow: (~62) damage and +46 to all attributes!

/dances

Minnakht August 20 2010 7:38 PM EDT

Also, dungeon epics scale with your level, or the monster's level, whichever is lower.

So to get the best epics you can get, fight dungeon monster only at your level.

And nice find, OB!

Demigod August 20 2010 8:04 PM EDT

I don't have my potion that I purchased yesterday, and I'm being logged out randomly.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 22 2010 10:38 AM EDT

it does log me out several times a day, but no more than that and it is usually when i am in a work shift and inactive.

Nope!

QBOddBird August 22 2010 10:46 AM EDT

on both counts, that is. I only started having issues when I got my new laptop and tried playing with it.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 22 2010 10:47 AM EDT

i would try uninstalling all flash components on the new laptop and then reinstalling then. see if that helps...how long have you had the new laptop or these issues then?

QBOddBird August 22 2010 10:49 AM EDT

I've had it around a week. The flash component crashes probably 2-3x a day, though I figured that was from running multiple flash objects ( when I run MMHK, S&F simultaneously.)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 22 2010 10:51 AM EDT

i would definitely uninstall and reinstall then, hopefully that'll help ya!

AdminShade August 25 2010 1:49 PM EDT

Snickersnack has enough gold to increase fortress

Phrede August 25 2010 2:22 PM EDT

So we have to choose between war or upgrades - can we have a bit of both ?

zev August 25 2010 2:25 PM EDT

Should Jabberwocky go to war again?
I see this as a potential target the guild "canusmaximus"

or should we continue upgrades?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 25 2010 2:29 PM EDT

i didn't mean that we had to choose between the two but more what do we do with the money we have at this time. ; )

it probably would be a good idea to decide if we are going to merge the two remaining guilds. if we aren't going to worry about it then we can war all we want. if we are going to try to merge them then we do need to save as much gold as we can.

we can also just wait and see what happens. as our member get to higher levels gold will come much more easily and it might be less of a pain to merge them then.

if you do want to go to war then finding some targets would be the first step, don't forget to check the cost to fight them though!

Corath August 25 2010 2:31 PM EDT

could you invite me then ? my name is the same as here

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 25 2010 2:31 PM EDT

canus maximus only has five members, the greyed out ones are just invites that are out. given that, i think that target is too easy.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 25 2010 2:49 PM EDT

PrimeEvilPoets should be a win for us and only cost 350 to attack.

Demigod August 25 2010 2:53 PM EDT

I was planning on starting another war on Saturday for Jabberwocky, but let me know if Friday is better for anyone. And remember to let us know if you find any juicy targets. We have a list going, so they aren't forgotten.

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 25 2010 3:05 PM EDT

Curious...How many ppl are still in the small clan and how much would it cost for us to get them over here? what would be the time frame to start this....Obviously the sooner the better

three4thsforsaken August 25 2010 3:18 PM EDT

I think Snicker Snack has 17 people. I don't see us adding 17 spots until a few weeks. Probably be best to upgrade a little and wait for everyone to be at a more stable level where people can make much larger donations.

Demigod August 25 2010 3:36 PM EDT

In the help forums, there's a chart that shows the cost of Fortress upgrades. You can use it to figure the cost of adding 17 (or is it 18 with Carath?).

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 25 2010 3:40 PM EDT

tentatively, i have thought we should upgrade the gold and xp to level 25 and then stop those as after that they cost shrooms and a 50% bonus is awesome anyway.

at that point all gold and shrooms would go to fortress upgrades at least until we can bring in snicker snack. it would be wisest to bring over the biggest first as they are the ones that could help us get closer to getting others in.

with that in mind, snicker snack should probably only upgrade to the point where it costs shrooms and no more but concentrate mostly on character growth. we could keep that guild as long as necessary, pull out higher members as we could get them in jabberwocky and any new players would go to snicker snack.

if guild raids work the way they said in the forums, one bigger guild would be best and it would also be best if we are to compete guild war wise at the top.

are all the people in snicker snack fairly active? should this be our goal? what say ye?

sebidach [The Forgehood] August 25 2010 4:10 PM EDT

+1 dudemus

QBOddBird August 25 2010 4:38 PM EDT

I think that is a great plan, dudemus.

zev August 25 2010 4:55 PM EDT

I like that idea, dudemus. Demi, speaking for myself any day for war is good because i'll have continual access to the game. I'm sure a guild mail message will help decide which is best. I am down for whatever the guild leaders want to do. But I think we all can agree that guild fights are pretty cool and fun to prepare for :)

Zippy August 25 2010 5:19 PM EDT

I am sure it has been answered but I just do not want to read through hundreds of posts.
Is it better to get the mount with mushrooms or just the gold one?
Those that buy the dragon do you make those mushrooms back in that two week time? Please include details, level and such about why to choose which mount.

QBOddBird August 25 2010 5:27 PM EDT

So far, I consider it this way:

Without a mount, you have an 8% chance to find mushrooms on any given quest. You take the full thirst for them, and we'll say the smallest quests cost 5 raw thirst. That means you have 20 chances at 8% to find a mushroom, assuming you get all small quests.

Mounted adventurers have a reduced 5% chance to find mushrooms on any given quest.

With the Gold mount, you get 30% reduced thirst cost. This means the smallest quests cost 3.5, and you'll therefore have 29 chances to find mushrooms at 5% per chance.

With the Shroom mount, you get 50% reduced thirst cost. Smallest quests now cost 2.5 thirst, so you'll have 40 chances to find mushrooms at 5% per chance.

I don't really remember probability math very well, but with the passing glance I've given those numbers it looks like your best odds to find shrooms lie with the Shroom mount, and you'll also manage 100% more quests per day (read: double your growth.)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 25 2010 6:28 PM EDT

all i use mushrooms for is the epic mount. sometimes i have enough at the end of two weeks for another but if i do not then i am usually close.

Canibus August 25 2010 11:23 PM EDT

Im 100% with dudemus on the subject of War, Clan Upgrades and future merging.

Zippy August 25 2010 11:31 PM EDT

Indeed United We Stand, Divided We Fall.

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 26 2010 3:17 AM EDT

So with these % OB to maximize my mushroom output I would want to take the quest with the smallest time frame regardless of the xp/gold reward?

Phrede August 26 2010 5:56 AM EDT

One thing I have found quite useful for stat allocation (although still a noob at this) is to take a look at the top players in your character, ranged, melee, wizard etc and see what balance they have - of course you have to take the basic stat and not the equipment enhanced.

As far as war/upgrade is concerned I have thought about this. I can donate 2-3K per day if I forgo upping my stats and can also top up shrooms if required - why dont we do what is suggested and cponcentrate on getting the 50% level on exp/gold and then really push for merging the the guilds.

Also what does snickersnack feel about this merger?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 7:13 AM EDT

that would be the big question, i haven't heard from them yet! we now have only 2 upgrades on xp and gold to get to the 50 percent level though.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 8:18 AM EDT

i shouldn't say i haven't heard from them yet, as some of the above replies could be from them. i haven't heard from loch yet and if other snicker snackers post, please say that you are from snicker snack! ; )

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 26 2010 9:44 AM EDT

Well if they don't join us lets farm them till they do ha ha JK, no I am not!...But seriously we should start donating more for a few days again to acquire some ore member spots.

Zippy August 26 2010 11:11 AM EDT

I am down with merging.

Currently Snicker Snack is lvl 18 fortress. 40% Treasure and 42% Instructor. I think Loch upgrades us about once a day. Some people are a little behind on donating but I think they may be trying to get to a higher level first.

Demigod August 26 2010 11:40 AM EDT

Total cost to acquire Snicker Snack:

102,880 Gold
1035 Shrooms

From here:
http://forum.shakes-fidget.com/showthread.php?t=9

Holy crap, guys...

QBOddBird August 26 2010 11:48 AM EDT

Yeah, but we'd have one huge guild full of active players. The gold part we can reach - I'll donate more, no problem here - but the shrooms will probably require a small CBD-to-USD sale/fundraiser over on this side.

Ankou August 26 2010 11:50 AM EDT

we currently have 27 people, of which 5 have donated mushrooms.
divided evenly, and not including new members that comes to:
3750 gold per member and 200 shrooms per member who can donate.

damn...
that's a lot

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 11:50 AM EDT

we will have almost fifty peole when done though which averages the cost to just over 2000 gold each.

as for the shrooms that is one fifty dollar purchase. what is that 20 million cb?

the positives are that we can do better in the guild raids as well as in guild wars. ; )

Ankou August 26 2010 11:58 AM EDT

50 people, that's max a guild can have, better hope we don't need more. Also, that come to about 1/3 of the total active CB community, guess its popular. 20m between 50 people is nothing, 400k each, but who's buying?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 12:05 PM EDT

the current populations are actually 45 total, i am not sure if all are active though but loch is going to check when he gets off of work today.

the cb sale is one option. i am willing to purchase ten bucks worth of shrooms or 100 and throw in there but we may get enough from donations. that is definitely one of those "cross that bridge when we come to it" deals though.

it seems like a large amount up front but we can do it over time. if we bring in the highest players first, they can help with gold at least for future upgrades.

we just mainly need to decide if it is worthwhile to try it as once started there is really no going back as we cannot pull high level players out of their guild and then stop.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 12:22 PM EDT

i can also buy ten bucks of the cb money if we go that way. buying in once chunk would be the most efficient for mushrooms!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 12:25 PM EDT

someone also stated that they have sales on german holidays so if a few are willing to throw in ten bucks that would probably work if we catch some bargain shrooms!

Demigod August 26 2010 12:40 PM EDT

It was Arf who said that (in this thread). His guess was 20-25% off on German holidays.

AdminShade August 26 2010 12:42 PM EDT

I could donate a few of the mushrooms I have, let me know if it's needed :)

Demigod August 26 2010 12:49 PM EDT

We should worry about gold before shrooms. We can get shrooms easily through donations and a CBD sale, but gold requires our team to suck it up and donate for the greater good.

Zippy August 26 2010 1:12 PM EDT

Remember you must buy mushrooms first to be able to donate and gamble them.

I think another CBD sale would be sufficient, I would gladly donate to the spot if I get a spot on the team!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 1:22 PM EDT

we could ask everyone to donate all the gold they make for one day. see where that gets us?

AdminShade August 26 2010 1:32 PM EDT

let me see what I can gather this evening already :)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 1:36 PM EDT

let us wait until we hear from loch and some of snicker snack. at the moment we are still trying to get our last 3 upgrades to take gold & xp to 50% bonus levels.

we will send out a guild mail if we decide to merge! ; )

Demigod August 26 2010 2:29 PM EDT

Agreed. If and when Loch wants to merge, we'll have a social experiment. I'll toss out a guild mail asking everyone spend one specific day putting all gold into donations. It will be fun to see who's stingy. ;p

Phrede August 26 2010 2:42 PM EDT

I am gonna donate all my gold for the next few hours

AdminShade August 26 2010 2:45 PM EDT

donated 77 gold, will donate more tomorrow

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 3:43 PM EDT

only two upgrades left, one each on gold and xp to get us to 50% bonus on those. we should have those by tomorrow so, depending on what we hear form loch, we might be able to start consolidating tomorrow.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 26 2010 5:09 PM EDT

one upgrade left on xp, thanks all for the donations!

Ankou August 27 2010 1:28 AM EDT

20:24 Sacred has donated 1393 gold

My daily pound of flesh, that's 10 hrs work + 100 thirst spent on gold quests. Could easily be 1800 a day with 2nd 10hr shift

AdminShade August 27 2010 2:16 AM EDT

65 additional gold, will save up every penny I'll get today and donate when needed.

Admiralkiller [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 27 2010 2:37 AM EDT

more donated as well ...currently donating at 100% of all income...

Phrede August 27 2010 3:49 AM EDT

We are now done with the XP and gold upgrades - yippee :)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 7:02 AM EDT

it looks like we are ready to merge. loch likes the idea and everyone i have heard from likes it as well.

we have enough for our first fortress upgrade so let's go! also if people could try donating all gold for one day, let's see where we get.

thanks all.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 7:15 AM EDT

i can't seem to send a guild message out. if someone else could try please state that we are merging with snicker snack and would like everyone to donate all gold made today please.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 7:33 AM EDT

when we invite you to jabberwocky you can leave snicker snack by selecting your own name in your guild list and clicking the boot button below the guild list. that should kick you from snicker snack and then you can accept the invite to jabberwocky.

Demigod August 27 2010 7:44 AM EDT

Mail sent

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 8:28 AM EDT

we will likely have to do several gold days before this is said and done but we are bringing over the largest first from snicker snack and that should help with donations.

i have 1m cbd i would donate if someone is willing to start a cbd drive for shroom purchases. i would do it but am concentrating on managing the merger. you would need a paypal account and probably an open character slot.

i have 1m cbd waiting to donate if someone is willing to handle this.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 8:49 AM EDT

two invites sent out already! woot.

QBOddBird August 27 2010 8:52 AM EDT

I'm willing to handle it, as I've already got an empty paypal that I usually used for Child's Play anyway. I'm also willing to put in an initial 1M as well. I'm making a 'Shroom Drive' character now to accept the drive donations.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 8:56 AM EDT

dudemus (immolation) 72.12.116.183 QBOddBird (Shroom Drive) $1000000 8:55 AM EDT

do you also want items or just cb?

QBOddBird August 27 2010 8:57 AM EDT

Either is fine, if I accept items it just means we'll have to have a short item auction before converting to USD.

More importantly, we need to figure out when the next German holiday or w/e is where we can buy extra shrooms on the cheap! :)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 9:04 AM EDT

dudemus (immolation) 72.12.116.183 QBOddBird (Shroom Drive) A Tattoo of Endurance ($11043) 9:03 AM EDT

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 9:05 AM EDT

i will also buy the first ten dollar lot of cb that goes up for sale if you break them up that small. i was going to buy ten dollars worth of shrooms anyways but if we can do it this way and get the bulk discount it will work out better!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 9:39 AM EDT

if someone is around from snicker snack, please send me a cm.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 11:22 AM EDT

we have opened up 3 slots today! ; )

it will slow down now until we can get some shrooms though so please donate generously to oddbird's character "shroom drive" so that we can open up more slots quickly!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 11:41 AM EDT

everyone in snicker snack should invest in their character for now rather than that guild. you can also save for when you come over to jabberwocky, but i would hate for money to be taken in the arena so it is probably best just to grow and then when you get over here donate your first day of gold or something.

AdminShade August 27 2010 11:44 AM EDT

Best advice I had today so far ;)

Lochnivar August 27 2010 12:18 PM EDT

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 6:12 PM EDT

either way if you are selling $10 bundles let me know where to send the paypal money too and i will get on it!

sebidach [The Forgehood] August 27 2010 6:41 PM EDT

Just sent 10M to OB for the shrooms. Hope it helps. :)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 6:45 PM EDT

woot!

QBOddBird August 27 2010 7:00 PM EDT

How many shrooms (or, specifically, how much USD) do we need to be aiming for, dudemus?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 7:14 PM EDT

50 bucks would probably do it with some individual contributions. 100 bucks would set us up nicely! ; )

Minnakht August 27 2010 8:03 PM EDT

I'd say go for the largest shroom purchase. You're going to want to get the gold and exp upgrades later anyhow.

Demigod August 27 2010 8:19 PM EDT

Aye, but do we know when the next discount holiday is for certain? Or are we just assuming it'll be Octoberfest?

Minnakht August 27 2010 8:52 PM EDT

No idea. They won't be announced because these aren't promo type deals.

Minnakht August 27 2010 8:55 PM EDT

Also, you should use "/act" to check your guild for activity.

I doubt Nightstrike is still active - You get enough thirst on the first day to get to at least level 8.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 9:08 PM EDT

nightstrike is a special case! ; )

Demigod August 27 2010 9:29 PM EDT

He's still active alright, just up to a trick.

Minnakht August 27 2010 9:58 PM EDT

Ah, the old low level powerhouse move :)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 27 2010 11:22 PM EDT

we had over 18k gold donated today! very nice job everyone.

TheHatchetman August 27 2010 11:50 PM EDT

i was gonna do the low-level powerhouse thing til i realized all the PvP is determined by honor, so the only thing being lower level accomplishes is limiting your wages and equipment availability =/

Soxjr August 28 2010 3:36 AM EDT

There is a 20% special on shrooms right now. Just in case nobody else looked. Don't know how long it lasts.

Darkwalker [Jago] August 28 2010 7:09 AM EDT

Darkwalker (Zandagarth) 121.120.82.69 QBOddBird (Shroom Drive) $2000000 7:09 AM EDT

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 7:10 AM EDT

nice! i wonder how long sales last?

also we are now at war! please prep everyone.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 7:11 AM EDT

fifty bucks worth would now get us most of the upgrades for merging.

Minnakht August 28 2010 7:32 AM EDT

They last exactly a day.

QBOddBird August 28 2010 9:56 AM EDT

Do we want to try and hold a 24 hour CBD-to-USD sale?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 10:01 AM EDT

sent you a cm ob.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 10:11 AM EDT

we are going to war in a few hours so everyone please prep! ; )

Ankou August 28 2010 10:30 AM EDT

20% more shrooms sale on atm

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 10:47 AM EDT

meona & ragatag have been sent invitations to jabberwocky.

QBOddBird August 28 2010 10:59 AM EDT

How many more shrooms are we going to need past that 1200, dudemus? I still have several items on the Shroom character that can be auctioned off over time.

Minnakht August 28 2010 10:59 AM EDT

This one says summer sale though, so I'm not sure if it'll last longer.

Keep in mind that you're getting 25% more mushrooms just by buying the largest package. So if you do eventually want to get enough mushrooms to fully upgrade the guild, it'd be cheaper to save up for the $100 bundle, getting 25% more mushrooms, than buying the 50$ bundle and getting 20% more mushrooms.

Minnakht August 28 2010 11:01 AM EDT

Also, if you guys have extra space after all the carnageblender regulars are in, would you consider sending me an invite? My guild is falling apart at the seams with arguments and people going inactive.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 11:05 AM EDT

go ahead and send shade a tell and he will get you in our other guild. at that point we are going by level as to who comes in first as they can donate more gold to get others in!

Demigod August 28 2010 11:12 AM EDT

if you guys have extra space after all the carnageblender regulars are in, would you consider sending me an invite?

::grins::

I was waiting for that. And like dudemus said, consider yourself in the queue.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 11:26 AM EDT

serialkiller now has an invite waiting as well. if you read this let me know if you are still selling out as we may just leave you where you are for now if you aren't playing.

if you have decided to keep playing though just accept the invite and welcome to jabberwocky!

Demigod August 28 2010 12:10 PM EDT

REMEMBER: Jabberwocky is going to war. Prep for battle.

Demigod August 28 2010 1:08 PM EDT

Less than 2.5 hours before war, and we're missing more people than I'm comfortable with. If you read this, log in and PREP.

Lochnivar August 28 2010 1:12 PM EDT

/me hasn't been in the clan long enough to take up arms :-(

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] August 28 2010 2:50 PM EDT

me either

Demigod August 28 2010 3:11 PM EDT

For those of you who haven't been in the clan long enough to participate, we can do another war in a few days. It will be interesting to see how our sheer size can handle enemies who are small in number but larger in level.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 9:38 PM EDT

arf, you should have an invite to snicker snack, once you have accepted you will be the next on the list to come over since you are level 50! ; 0

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 10:09 PM EDT

or if we can open up the next upgrade you may have an invite from both snicker snack and jabberwocky in your box that you can go ahead and accept. we are around 1k gold from that upgrade as of this time.

Minnakht August 28 2010 11:00 PM EDT

I'll accept it tomorrow right after I burn my thirst.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 11:02 PM EDT

we should have the upgrade by then. we are like 600 gold from it now.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] August 28 2010 11:30 PM EDT

Anyone know why in our clan battle the enemy only had half HP?

QBOddBird August 28 2010 11:31 PM EDT

If the opponent fails to ready themselves, they fight with half HP. Same as if we fail to ready ourselves.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] August 28 2010 11:33 PM EDT

But, the entire clan had half HP. Did they all forget?

QBOddBird August 28 2010 11:34 PM EDT

idk. Maybe they're an idle/casual clan.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 28 2010 11:41 PM EDT

i think it works that if the attacker guild has members that do not prep then they are skipped in the fight. defenders though come in at half health.

the fight likely would have been closer if they had prepped and we really have no way of knowing if they are active, as far as i know.

Demigod August 29 2010 12:11 AM EDT

i think it works that if the attacker guild has members that do not prep then they are skipped in the fight. defenders though come in at half health.

This is correct. As far as knowing if enemies are active, we can monitor specific guilds' levels. If they don't increase over a few days, then there's a good chance they won't prep in time. That means we can go up against a stronger guild knowing that their biggest guys will only have half health. ::evil grin::

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] August 29 2010 1:12 AM EDT

Yeah, we owned the last guys, and a couple of our decent sized guys couldn't even fight. I believe SK doesn't play anymore. You should ask him though to make sure.

AdminShade August 29 2010 7:28 AM EDT

What is a typical distribution of a Warrior class character?

I now have this as base stats:
207 Strength
136 Dexterity
136 Intelligence
150 Constitution
120 Luck

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] August 29 2010 10:17 AM EDT

Dex and Intelligence are less important than ST, Luck and Con. Con and ST should be the highest, with luck not too far behind, and far behind should be Dex and Int.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 29 2010 10:20 AM EDT

with my warrior on s2 i keep the str & con even based on cost of upgrades and then get luck gear. i ignore the other stats but will likely bump them some as i grow and they are much cheaper. it seems to work pretty well.

QBOddBird August 29 2010 10:32 AM EDT

Aye, I keep my two primary stats equally high and then try to push up luck behind them, spare change occasionally goes to the other stats

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 29 2010 10:48 AM EDT

lostling has an invite waiting, sbalisa is next. (should have been first today but i was going off of what i had looked at last night so sorry) but we are close to the next invite so it is all good!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 29 2010 11:50 AM EDT

lostling is in, sbAlisa now has an invite waiting, anyone know who that is over here on cb?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 29 2010 12:22 PM EDT

eight more to go, if the rest are active. woot!

AdminShade August 29 2010 12:40 PM EDT

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 29 2010 12:43 PM EDT

ok, tried to find sbalisa, guess i didn't try just alisa! ; )

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 29 2010 11:17 PM EDT

sent an invite to noid, after he joins then we will have seven left to get if they are all active.

Zippy August 29 2010 11:45 PM EDT

Gosh I feel invisible lol. You always say wonder if anyone else in Snicker Snack is active. Its ok I am still awaiting invite.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 29 2010 11:54 PM EDT

zippy we are going down by level so we will get to you! i just hate to make active people wait while i invite inactives. i definitely am not ignoring anyone or forgetting anyone. i have a system that will get all of you as we can upgrade it would just streamline it a bit if people let me know they have gone inactive or likewise if they are still active. ; )

Corath August 30 2010 12:00 AM EDT

im active as well..

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 30 2010 12:06 AM EDT

the order for the remaining invites, at least as of this post, is as follows:

noid (invite sent)
cotillion
hamez
lolopants
gourmetski
kirimori
redgrave
corath

i am grabbing the next largest character though so that order could change if someone passes someone else up.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 30 2010 12:07 AM EDT

it is now taking us over 6500 gold for the next upgrade so that is why it takes us a bit. hang in there!

Zippy August 30 2010 12:08 AM EDT

Take your time, guess I should have mentioned I am Hamez maybe that would have helped a while back when you were always asking if someone from Snicker was on lol.

Demigod August 30 2010 12:40 AM EDT

The difference in names is a slight confusion in chat. I mostly had everyone memorized, but this last push is making the guild so large that I'll probably just give up learning who's whom.

We're asking those with different names to put their CB names in the player description to make it easier.

AdminShade August 30 2010 1:15 AM EDT

I've put my cb name in my description =)

Demigod August 30 2010 7:27 AM EDT

QBOddBird August 31 2010 11:36 AM EDT

How close are we now to a completed merge?

AdminShade August 31 2010 11:42 AM EDT

snicker snack has 7 members. depends on if they are all still playing (serialkiller?) it takes 6 or 7 spaces.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 31 2010 11:54 AM EDT

sk is out. six more and i think we are going to ask everyone to donate all gold again tomorrow to see how many more we can knock out!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 31 2010 3:25 PM EDT

hamez has been sent an invite now as well! ; )

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 31 2010 3:37 PM EDT

ok, sent out some chatmails to:

To: Geargrave Sent: 3:34 PM EDT

To: Corath Sent: 3:34 PM EDT

To: Kirimori Sent: 3:32 PM EDT

To: [RX3]Cotillion Sent: 3:30 PM EDT

to verify they are still playing before we invest heavily in more slots. i know shade is still active though so i will update everyone on how many more slots are needed once i get some replies.

if they don't reply within 24 hours i am going to assume inactivity. ; )

Demigod August 31 2010 4:09 PM EDT

Um, shouldn't those be going as in-game mails rather than CB CMs? Whether or not they play CB every day doesn't matter as much. ;p

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 31 2010 4:13 PM EDT

i asked them about s&f, silly! some of them haven't levelled over there in a while while they have logged in here which probably does mean they aren't active but i want to be sure. you can send them emails over there if you like though!

serialkiller can be ignored and cotillion already replied...on cb no less! ;)

Lochnivar August 31 2010 4:15 PM EDT

Seriously, how long have dude and Demi been married??

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] August 31 2010 4:18 PM EDT

put it this way...the honeymoon is definitely over!

oh, and kirimori now got back to me mr. doubting thomas.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 1 2010 8:25 AM EDT

shade has now been invited, that leaves kirimori and corath that have gotten back to me as active. one more still hasn't gotten back to me!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 1 2010 12:23 PM EDT

kirimori has now been invited as well.

i also heard back from everyone and we only have one more to bring over, corath!

the others are pretty inactive at this time and will just hang in snicker snack, keeping it around in case we ever need it again. thanks go out to everyone for helping to make the mergers happen and don't quit yet as we need one more slot opened up!

Demigod September 1 2010 7:39 PM EDT

Do you guys know if there are any bonuses for gear sets? Six of my items are from the "Epic Superpowers" set...

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 1 2010 8:21 PM EDT

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 1 2010 8:36 PM EDT

corath invited, last one for now!

thx guys =)

So, to get this thread back on track...

Who wants a guild war?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 3 2010 9:25 AM EDT

woooo! ; 0

Demigod September 3 2010 2:18 PM EDT

To test out the different fight times (and to get Zev in before he leaves town), I'm going to initiate the next war today.

Heads up.

Demigod September 3 2010 3:12 PM EDT

Initiated war against WTFLOL (who beat us earlier). This a revenge fight now that we can curb stomp them.

QBOddBird September 3 2010 4:23 PM EDT

Yessss that's the perfect target! :D

Phrede September 5 2010 7:17 AM EDT

and a narrow win for us - nice - I for one need to bulk up more so I will be concentrating on gold and not exp

Phrede September 7 2010 5:27 AM EDT

War started against the Hill People - please login to S&F and prep for the war - it would also be useful if you could bulk up with a potion just to help us win.

You have just under 10 hours to do this from the timestamp of this message.

Cheers and hope to see you in the war

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 7 2010 3:47 PM EDT

we win and only six of ours didn't prep in time. one is without internet so a damn good turn out all! ; )

QBOddBird September 7 2010 4:36 PM EDT

Aww. I read this before watching the guild fight. Now I know how it ends T_T SPOILER!

Demigod September 7 2010 4:46 PM EDT

I can't watch it until tonight, but good job everyone.

We seem to have better turnout when we start fights during the morning in EST. If we can find a tough 150g clan to fight, I'd like to run another one on Friday. But a lot of the decent clans at our size have Fortress upgraded too much to make it a cheap battle. I didn't run this fight, so I don't know how much it cost, but WTFLOL (loved that fight) cost 1100g.

On that note, will someone who can log into the game let me know how much it costs for guilds to attack us? I hope it's an insane amount...

QBOddBird September 7 2010 5:52 PM EDT

I can log in, but I don't know how to / if I can access that information. :P

AdminShade September 7 2010 6:09 PM EDT

QBOddBird September 8 2010 11:49 AM EDT

I'm amazed at how quickly we've grown to such a level, as well. :)

QBOddBird September 8 2010 11:12 PM EDT

I have just been informed that the community can expect the highly-anticipated, oft-delayed Guild Dungeon patch by the "end of September."

I AM SO PSYCHED :D

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 8 2010 11:14 PM EDT

woot! me too.

i posted this in chat over there but thought this might be the better place to ask: what do you guys think of specifying certain days and times for guild battles to take place every week?

for example on tuesdays battle is initiated at noon finishing at ten and on saturdays it is initiated at six in the morning, finishing at four in the afternoon. the times and days are just to show how it would work and can be adjusted.

Minnakht September 8 2010 11:16 PM EDT

I'd love to fight everyday at a specified time. I'd donate more to cover the war costs, and I'm sure others will too.

QBOddBird September 8 2010 11:17 PM EDT

I think coordinating Guild battle times with EXP time at CB would be a good idea, as most people make an effort to be online at those times. Activating guild war just before EXP time seems like it would be a good plan.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 8 2010 11:20 PM EDT

i like that idea ob!

also if we could get feedback on arf's idea as well that would be great. i have thought of appointing a war czar which might be necessary to pick targets if we are doing them more often.

Ankou September 9 2010 12:02 AM EDT

Not sure about 1 a day, but +1 for more overall

QBOddBird September 9 2010 12:05 AM EDT

Yeah, once a day I would not be all that interested in - that's a lot - but I'm up for more guild wars overall :) they are fun

Demigod September 9 2010 12:05 AM EDT

We can try the wacky EXP times. We've been running Saturday fights anyway, so that one won't change.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 9 2010 12:06 AM EDT

wasn't the one this week that did well on tuesday?

Demigod September 9 2010 12:36 AM EDT

Yep -- Yesterday. That's a great long-term memory you have.

Phrede September 9 2010 3:29 AM EDT

I think its a great idea to co-ordinate with exp times as I can usually get on for those.

The last guild battle cost 1500 btw.

The comment about it costing 9300 to attack us is reasonable but remember that when we get to a situation where we are fighting guilds at this level that 9300 is a drop in the ocean.

If I drink all my booze in a day (including mushroom booze) I would expect to earn in the region of 18000 and my main stats are approaching 1K a pop fairly rapidly, and I expect that the others at or around L50 are also seeing this.

Demigod September 9 2010 7:42 AM EDT

my main stats are approaching 1K a pop fairly rapidly, and I expect that the others at or around L50 are also seeing this.

It's not important, but no. My main stats cost far, far less than that to upgrade. Then again, I'm only level 50 and you're 57. But I also checked dudemus and Areva (Areva is also 57), and their stats should cost a good chunk less than 1k.

My highest base stat (before equip) is 370 and Areva's is 411. Yours is a massive 471.

But at least now I know you're blazing up the charts by drinking your shrooms. ;)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 9 2010 7:52 AM EDT

i up int & const and those are around 400 now apiece. ; )

lostling September 9 2010 9:24 AM EDT

drinking shrooms + 1 shroom mount might be better then the better mount

sebidach [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 9:52 AM EDT

Not accurate comparison:

Elite mount gives ~40% more quests = 25 shrooms / 14 days
1 drink per day gives ~20% more quests = 14 shrooms / 14 days

sebidach [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 9:53 AM EDT

2 drinks per day give ~40% more quests = 28 shrooms / 14 days

QBOddBird September 9 2010 9:56 AM EDT

Plus you get an "environmental bonus" (read: free gold) for buying the epic mount. Definitely a better deal.

lostling September 9 2010 9:56 AM EDT

you forget the 30% from the 1 shroom mount

sebidach [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 9:59 AM EDT

The ~40% is the difference between the 30% and the 50% mount.

QBOddBird September 9 2010 10:03 AM EDT

or maybe not, actually. Sebidach, we didn't figure in the 1 shroom mount, which is 30%.

Elite mount gives double the quests, essentially, by halving travel time
1 Shroom mount gives ~60% more by cutting it by 30%
and then spending shrooms on drinks gives you another 20% thirst, though the value of that thirst is reduced by having the 1 shroom mount instead of the epic mount

So if we assign to the 100 thirst a day efficiency points, Elite mount thirst would have 1.0 efficiency and 1 shroom mount would have 60% efficiency

100 thirst @ 1.0 for 14 days = 1400 thirst points

100 thirst for 14 days + (24 shrooms so the shroom count is equal) (24x.2) = (1400 + 480) * .6 = 1128 thirst points

Elite mount is still more worthwhile.

lostling September 9 2010 10:48 AM EDT

lets see with elite 25 shrooms
50% reduction

100 a day = 200
200 x 14 = 2800 a week

with 1 shroom mount
30% reduction

100 a day = 160
160 x 14 = 2240

20 x 24 = 480
480 x 1.6 = 768

2240 + 768 = 3008

am i right?

lostling September 9 2010 10:48 AM EDT

2800 in 2 weeks i mean

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 9 2010 10:52 AM EDT

i thought that when you use a shroom in the bar for the timer, it has already used that amount of thirst that the quest cost regardless and you are just skipping the real world timer, in effect giving you no extra thirst?

lostling September 9 2010 10:58 AM EDT

talking to the bartender allows you to convert 1 shroom to 20 thirst

alisa [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 11:03 AM EDT

oddbird.. you forgot to add the 480 thirst you will get if u buy the drinks, you only calculated how much extra the mount will get you for the 480 thirst.. so lostling's calculation is right..

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 9 2010 11:09 AM EDT

so doing the 30% mount with 24 mushrooms would basically get you one extra day of thirst a week given that you buy 12 mushrooms of thirst a week.

one extra day a week isn't a bad trade off at all for the gold bonus, especially at the upper levels. nice find!

sebidach [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 11:10 AM EDT

with 1 shroom mount
30% reduction (is not a +60% but +42%)

100 a day = 142
142 x 14 = 1988

remaining shrooms:

20 x 24 = 480
480 x 1.42 = 681

1988 + 681 = 2669

alisa [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 11:10 AM EDT

but the difference is, the elite mount cuts the time.
so you can finish the "2800" thirst in 1400mins.

but for the tiger, you will need to sit in front of the computer longer to finish the "3008" thirst in 1880mins.

Demigod September 9 2010 11:12 AM EDT

You also forgot to account for the different chance of finding a shroom based on mount choice -- which I believe is LOWER when using the elite mount. That would mean that the +1 mount (30% efficiency) would actually get more than 24 shrooms in the calculation.

I'm at work and don't have time to verify the math. Can we get another person to double check the above figures with the increased chance of shroom drops being used in thirst?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 9 2010 11:13 AM EDT

seb's got it right, that is where the error is. 142 *.7 = 99.4 whereas 160 * .7 = 112

lostling September 9 2010 11:14 AM EDT

0% -> 100
50% -> 200
25% -> 150
5% -> 110
30% -> 160

am i right?

alisa [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 11:15 AM EDT

50% gives you 200 thirst for 100.
so 50% = 2
so 30% shld b 1.6

if 30% is 1.42

42/30=1.4

50% will be

1.4*50 = .7

1.7 instead of 2.

sebidach [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 11:17 AM EDT

0 -> 100%
15 -> 117%
30 -> 142%
50 -> 200%
100% -> infinity (the way god plays)

alisa [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 11:23 AM EDT

i dun get how u calc.. if 50% gives 100 more.
how come 15% only gives 17 more.
and 30% only gives 42 more.

1% gives 2 more.

therefore

10% give 20 more.
20% give 40 more.
30% give 60 more.
40% give 80 more.
50% give 100 more.

sebidach [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 11:30 AM EDT

x = reduce percentage
y = 'actual' quest time

100/y = (1-x) => y = 100/(1-x)

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=plot[100%2F%281-x%29%2C{x%2C0%2C1}]

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 9 2010 11:31 AM EDT

i will see if i can explain this more clearly. if you have one hundred dollars and you get a fifty percent discount that means that each dollar is worth fifty cents. you deduct the .5 from the dollar leaving .5 to divide into 100 for 200.

however when you only get a 30 percent discount, you deduct .3 from each dollar leaving .7 which when divided into 100 gives 142.86.

the 30 percent discount equates to about a 43 percent bonus.

sebidach [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 11:32 AM EDT

Or a more relevant plot (without god)

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=plot[100%2F%281-x%29%2C{x%2C0%2C0.5}]

lostling September 9 2010 11:46 AM EDT

lets see with elite 25 shrooms
50% reduction

100 a day = 200
200 x 14 = 2800 a week

with 1 shroom mount
30% reduction

100 a day = 142
142 x 14 = 1988

20 x 24 = 480
480 x 1.42 = 681.6

1988 + 681.6 = 2669.6

errm im still not sure but this is the revised numbers and yes the 25 shroom mount is better

alisa [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 11:51 AM EDT

so since you use "more" thirst, you will be doing more adventures and hence, getting more chances of getting mushrooms?

the assumption that all adventures use the same amount of thirst.
i mean if you go for those 5mins(before reduction) as compared to those 20 or more mins ones, then you will have more chance on the 5mins, since you will be doing more adventures.

or is there some calculation other then chance?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 9 2010 12:04 PM EDT

on the percentages the fifty percent discount does double your time. however the thirty percent discount does not double your time just as a thirty percent discount at the cash register wouldn't allow you to buy twice as much. ; )

as for the drop rates with the different mounts, someone posted that in one of these threads as well. it could still come out a wash if you are more likely to get enough shrooms in the two week period with one method as opposed to the other. if you get enough either way then it would depend on how much more you could throw into extra thirst using the 30 percent mount.

Demigod September 9 2010 12:22 PM EDT

so since you use "more" thirst, you will be doing more adventures and hence, getting more chances of getting mushrooms?

There's a per fight chance of landing shrooms, and that chance is skewed based on mount. I'm need someone to verify, but I believe there's a 5% chance of finding a shroom per fight with the 30% mount, and only a 3% chance with the 50% mount.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 9 2010 12:36 PM EDT

oddbird stated above that the chance for finding shrooms is 8 percent without a mount and 5 percent with any mount.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 9 2010 12:38 PM EDT

those percentages are per quest though, and since you can double your thirst with the elite mount that would, in theory, double your chances for finding a shroom.

Demigod September 9 2010 1:56 PM EDT

Maybe I misread it in an in-game thread, but I could have sworn there was a decreased chance with the elite mount (to make up for the increased battles).

sebidach [The Forgehood] September 9 2010 2:25 PM EDT

Could it be, that if you are going to find a shroom during a quest, a little shroom is also visible on the 'landscape picture' that is shown while waiting for the fight?

Minnakht September 9 2010 2:35 PM EDT

8% unmounted, and 5% mounted, regardless of what the mount is.

The 30% mount gets less mushrooms than questing unmounted, but gives you far more exp/gold.

Also, I'd rather ride a dragon than a stinky wolf.

QBOddBird September 10 2010 1:22 AM EDT

oddbird.. you forgot to add the 480 thirst you will get if u buy the drinks, you only calculated how much extra the mount will get you for the 480 thirst.. so lostling's calculation is right..

100 thirst for 14 days + (24 shrooms so the shroom count is equal) (24x.2) = (1400 + 480) * .6 = 1128 thirst points

wat

I see 480 in my calculations right there - 1400 + 480 - and then with the .6 ratio for mount effect applied.

My calculation is correct.

Corath September 10 2010 4:12 AM EDT

hey guys.. im having a little problem here. i dont receive the email to confirm (and yes i have checked my spam filter this is not the problem. i have checked the email and its the right one) this makes me unable to donate anything to the guild =/

so.. any ideas how to get this mail ? i have tried to resend it.. but i still dont receive it.

Phrede September 10 2010 4:28 AM EDT

Corath - have you gone into options>email confirmation - I had the same problem when I first joined

Corath September 10 2010 6:02 AM EDT

yea i did try that...

alisa [The Forgehood] September 10 2010 7:02 AM EDT

ur calculation was

100 thirst @ 1.0 for 14 days = 1400 thirst points

100 thirst for 14 days + (24 shrooms so the shroom count is equal) (24x.2) = (1400 + 480) * .6 = 1128 thirst points

note the "(1400 + 480) * .6 = 1128" + the "100 thirst @ 1.0 for 14 days = 1400"

"(1400 + 480) * .6 = 1128" = the *extra* of original + bought thirst.

but in "100 thirst @ 1.0 for 14 days = 1400" is = original thirst.

what we r calculating is (*extra* of original + bought thirst) which is the 0.6 + the (original + bought thirst) which is the 1.

u only added, *extra* of original + bought thirst) which is the 0.6 + the (original) which is the 1.

but then again, since it has been proven that it is not 1.6 but 1.42, this calculation does not hold anymore.

alisa [The Forgehood] September 10 2010 7:05 AM EDT

because spending mushrooms at the tavern will give you the actual 20 thirst. and not just the extra of what the mount will give you..

QBOddBird September 10 2010 9:16 AM EDT

Right, it gives you the actual 20 thirst...maybe it will make more sense if I use words instead of just numbers (though as you mentioned it is 42% and not 60% as we had generously assumed)

1400 thirst is 100 thirst a day added up over 14 days
since 1 mushroom was used on the mount, 24 mushrooms were used to purchase 20 thirst each, producing 480 extra thirst
and then adding the 1400 thirst + the 480 thirst = 1880 thirst total
all of this is multiplied by the efficiency of the mount, which I initially had at .6
which equals 1128

You're arguing with my formula, but it is the SAME FORMULA lostling used, alisa. Substitute his 1.6 for my .6 and you get the same numbers. The only difference is that he multiplied by 1.6 at the start, whereas I found the total and then multiplied it by .6. He was using 1.0 as the base, 2.0 as the elite mount shrooms, and 1.6 as the 30% mount; I was using increased effectiveness, so I used 1.0 as the elite mount and .6 as the 30% mount.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 9:28 AM EDT

demi, will we be starting the war tomorrow an hour or two before bonus xp time here on cb? who is our next target?

i just upgraded xp again, we now have a 60 percent bonus to both gold & xp, great job everyone!

we need to hold on any more upgrades until we are sure that we have the battle tomorrow paid for. ; )

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 9:30 AM EDT

i would suggest two hours before as that would also give us two hour afterward to hopefully get everyone in on it. that would be nine central time.

alisa [The Forgehood] September 10 2010 9:38 AM EDT

u didnt add the 480 previously, even though the formula was the same.. u said that elite was better whereas lostling's shows that e 30% was better.

cuz ur calculations was 2800 for elite n 2528 for 30%.. whereas lostling's was 480 more for the 30%, which is 3008.

cuz (1400 + 480) * 1.6 = 3008.. which would have meant that the 30% was more worthwhile..

but u said that "Elite mount is still more worthwhile."

QBOddBird September 10 2010 9:40 AM EDT

sigh. I did add the 480 previously. Look, I'll quote you:

ur calculation was 100 thirst @ 1.0 for 14 days = 1400 thirst points

100 thirst for 14 days + (24 shrooms so the shroom count is equal) (24x.2) = (1400 + 480) * .6 = 1128 thirst points

See that part where it says "24 *.2" and "1400 + 480"? That's me adding the 480 in, prior to multiplying the effectiveness by the total. You even quoted it.

Wraithlin September 10 2010 9:40 AM EDT

the 30% mount is the best one if you don't donate money to the game.

the 50% mount is the best one if you do donate money to the game.

it's really easy to see why, if you'd like math i could add it, but there shouldn't be much of a discussion about it.

alisa [The Forgehood] September 10 2010 9:42 AM EDT

u did not multiply it by the total.. u multiply it by 0.6..

you only calculated the total for the 1400..

and u said that "Elite mount is still more worthwhile."

while by this calculation.. 30% would have been more worthwhile..

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 9:50 AM EDT

let's save that aggressive spirit for our war opponents tomorrow...waaaghh!! ; )

Wraithlin September 10 2010 10:13 AM EDT

If you're really striving for max effectiveness:

No mount:
100 thirst per day for 14 days + 25 shrooms.

You get 1400 thirst to use, and your missions will last 5 minutes each because you are trying to get more shrooms, so you'll do 280 missions during the 2 weeks and get 22 mushrooms.

So you'll have 47 mushrooms to spend that week for a total of 940 thirst which will be another 188 missions and 15 mushrooms.

Which will be another 300 thirst and 60 missions and 4 mushrooms.

Which will be another 80 thirst for 16 missions and 1 mushroom.

Which will be 20 thirst, 4 misssions, no mushrooms.

So you spent a grand total of 548 5-min missions.

I won't bore you with all the line for the 30% and 50% but the final results are:

No mount: 548 missions
30%: 798 missions
50%: 912 missions

Since the mission rewards don't change based on mount speed, you can see that the mounts just get better and better. If you look at thirst spend however, the no mount actually spends more thirst in the 2 weeks than the 30% mount does and the 50% mount spends even less than both.

I used 8% chance for no mount to find a mushroom, 5% for a mount to find a mushroom.

Wraithlin September 10 2010 10:14 AM EDT

Main point, looking at thirst spent is only half the puzzle, you have to look at what you did with the thirst.

Wraithlin September 10 2010 10:24 AM EDT

Actually, i'm an idiot, it's only 752 missions for the 30%.

I was dividing the thirst by 3.3 per mission because it took 3 min, 30 seconds to do the mission when i should of been dividing by 3.5, since 30 sec is in fact half a minute not 30% of a minute.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 10:29 AM EDT

in reality though, even using the elite mount and getting twice as many missions (always the smallest mission timer) and spending no shrooms on anything other than investing back into elite mounts, i am getting less than 25 shrooms every 2 weeks. this is on each character i have on either server.

Minnakht September 10 2010 11:32 AM EDT

Oddbird:

Alisa's right, although it's extremely hard to understand what she's saying.

Your original calculation:

(1400 regular thirst + 480 mushroom thirst) * 0.6 = 1128

Since you're multiplying by 0.6, the thirst efficiency bonus, your answer is the *extra* thirst from the mount over not using a mount. (How can you get less thirst after using a mount than before using a mount?)

So in reality, your total thirst is equal to base thirst + mount thirst, or 1880 + 1128 = 3008 > 2800 from 50% mount.

(Although the actual efficiency is 0.42)

Wraithlin September 10 2010 11:32 AM EDT

If the forums are correct, and you really get a 5% chance for mushroom per quest, then if you don't spend any shrooms on quests you should make 28 mushrooms per week if you do all minimum time quests.

So you'd have to play a perfect 2 weeks of all 2.5 min quest timers to make mushrooms, that would be painful. And impossible since in reality you can't always get a min time quest to pop up.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 11:34 AM EDT

i just went 76 hours without a shroom drop. i do understand that they say 5% over time and what that means mathematically, i am saying tht in reality it doesn't work that way for me, on 2 characters even.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 11:37 AM EDT

i always play the lowest quest time i get, barring an incredibly good loot item. most are 2.5 min quests unless i just do not get that option.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 4:28 PM EDT

ok, we will initiate war tomorrow, two hours before xp time with the guild Big Bada Bum for 400 gold. hopefully everyone will be around!

Phrede September 10 2010 4:30 PM EDT

Another factor guys ? If you do more battles you rise up the arena quicker i.e. every battle whether 2.5, 5, 7.5 or 10 gives 10 points in hall of fame.

The higher you get in the HoF the bigger the people are that fight you and possibly take money unless you are careful.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 4:31 PM EDT

so they can take gold later on?

Demigod September 10 2010 4:31 PM EDT

We'll get to test our strength against a lvl 70+ guy. It shouldn't be too long of a fight since we outnumber them quite a bit, but things will get hairy for those our smaller guys once they pick off the other team's first few baddies.

QBOddBird September 10 2010 4:33 PM EDT

Arfbarge: I gotcha now

I was comparing efficiency - 60% vs 100% - whereas they were comparing mount thirst gain + regular thirst to get what ends up being a more accurate picture of efficiency

Makes more sense now

QBOddBird September 10 2010 4:34 PM EDT

Friid - so then would it be a good idea to periodically attack someone stronger than you when you've run out of gold in an attempt to keep your honor down? >.>

Phrede September 10 2010 4:47 PM EDT

I actually did do that at one point but have stopped now .

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 4:57 PM EDT

i have started attacking my guild mates, i figure if i do lose some gold that way it stays in the family! so enjoy the gold all and that would be the reason i am fighting ya. ; )

Demigod September 10 2010 5:00 PM EDT

I did enjoy getting mail showing you attacking me... and losing.

QBOddBird September 10 2010 5:02 PM EDT

Oooh, that's a decent idea. :)

AdminQBVerifex September 10 2010 5:03 PM EDT

How long do you guys plan on using CB forums for this?

QBOddBird September 10 2010 5:06 PM EDT

Who cares? This has brought in at least one new member to CB, so I see it as nothing but positive.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 5:10 PM EDT

is there a problem with us using one thread in the off-topic forum for this long-term?

i see it as valid as fantasy football or rpg nights that have been allowed in the past.

AdminQBVerifex September 10 2010 5:31 PM EDT

2 of the 5 threads shown on the home page are telling people to go to other games. I think normally people and admins don't care, because the threads don't last that long.

But this thread has been at the top of forums for almost a month now. It's a little ridiculous don't you think?

Demigod September 10 2010 5:42 PM EDT

I don't see it as odd. We've got a lot of CBers playing the game in a CB guild. It's not just a couple of us, it's a large chunk of the active player-base.

It may seem odd to someone outside of the game, but we actually chat quite a bit in it, which means it's filling the same community role that CB Clans do (only with a more unified group).

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 10 2010 5:44 PM EDT

and on those other games we are telling people to come here. it isn't like anyone is trying to get people to play these games in lieu of cb.

one cb'er has even returned from an absence due to this game. off-topic can be easily hidden if it offends though so i do see some ridiculousness here but probably not what you meant.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] September 10 2010 10:37 PM EDT

Yeah, I even advertise CB on my character page.

Wraithlin September 10 2010 11:32 PM EDT

As long as it's not an advertisement for a game that is from someone who doesn't even play CB anymore and is trying to steal players from the CB player base I don't think it's a problem.

CB does not take up all your time, and all the games I play aside from CB are just other tabs up in my browser as I play CB at the same time. I think these games are good for the community, not taking away from it.

Ankou September 11 2010 1:03 AM EDT

I agree.

I also feel that being an active part of another game with the same people allows me to become more integrated into the community in general. Also, someone, at some point stated that one of the great parts about CB was the community, but newbies may never know of how epic it truly is because they don't stay long enough to find out. Well, by playing other, similar games as a group, we are extending one of the great and unique aspects of CB into another game. This may gain us some extra publicity.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 11 2010 9:51 AM EDT

war has been initiated. big bada bum was already taken so i had to find another guild, not a great target but they were ranked higher and we should win.

please prep everyone.

QBOddBird September 11 2010 10:17 AM EDT

Hmmmm, which to keep...

New bow, with ~82 damage and +56 DX, +40 CON

or

old rare bow, with ~62 damage and +46 to all attributes

hard decision is hard T_T

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 11 2010 10:19 AM EDT

i usually just equip both items and note my main stats to see how each affects them and then choose the one that aids the main stats best.

Wraithlin September 11 2010 10:42 AM EDT

I choose the one that gives me the most damage.

And I just multiply the crit by the damage for determining stats.

so if you do 10k damage with 25% crit on one weapon

and 12k damage with 10% crit on the other weapon.

weapon 1 does 12.5k
weapon 2 does 13.2k

I choose weapon 2.

Phrede September 11 2010 12:03 PM EDT

Yeah good idea m8 - equip both items :)
I think No. 2 but I am a warrior so what do I know .

BadFish September 11 2010 12:05 PM EDT

Base weapon damage is way more important than attributes for determining your damage. I say go with the new bow, 20 more average damage is a big boost for a scout.

AdminShade September 11 2010 12:44 PM EDT

Wow, it topped 300 posts!
This one will top 400 easily! :)

Minnakht September 11 2010 2:08 PM EDT

OB, your new bow matches mine!

Demigod September 11 2010 3:33 PM EDT

OB: New bow

QBOddBird September 11 2010 10:47 PM EDT

Bahahahahhaha

I took your awesome advice, picked up the new bow, and promptly found another new bow. Now I've got to choose between these two, and it is an even more difficult choice than before...

Old New Bow:
53-111 (~82)
+56 DX
+40 CON

New New Bow:
78-86 (~82)
+94 DX

The new one can do more damage, and offers almost the exact same stat increase amount. The range is tighter too.

The old bow, though, offers me about 3.7k more HP. The upper end of the range is 1200 points higher, and the lower end of the range is 1800 points lower.

Is it more worthwhile, I wonder, to get the small increase in prmiary stat and overall damage at the cost of a chunk of HP?

Demigod September 11 2010 10:53 PM EDT

Since you're keeping your main two stats even, you'd be better off using the bow that keeps them that way. The result is that your average upgrade costs remain lower (instead of having to invest hard to beef up Constitution).

However, my warrior is doing far better by favoring his main stat, Strength, over Constitution. If the same holds true for archers, then go that route by all means. The problem is, I've never tried an archer to find out.

QBOddBird September 11 2010 10:55 PM EDT

I'm keeping the natural part of my main two stats even - I'm not adjusting for stat bonuses, so no need to take that into account. I'm just figuring which is more important to me, surviving for one more hit or hitting harder overall while I'm alive. I know the +94 DX bow is more useful against opponent scouts, but other than that I'm torn.

Demigod September 11 2010 11:09 PM EDT

Since Dex won't help you with mages (1/3 of the enemies), I'd go with the Dex/Const bow. But can a higher level Dex player toss in an opinion?

Regardless, hold onto both bows until you've had a chance to play with each of them. Even if you're buying it, it's not much wasted.

QBOddBird September 11 2010 11:12 PM EDT

Aye, I'm holding onto both. If I cannot decide, then I'll just equip the higher DX bow when fighting against opponent scouts. :)

Minnakht September 11 2010 11:38 PM EDT

As an archer, you won't see much difference in fights, since our battles are basically RNG fights. (Which is good and bad in its own way)

However, take a look at the (simplified) damage formula for scout vs scout.

Weapon damage*(Dex/10 - Opponent Dex/20) = damage

Now let's see how much Dex you need to do double your opponent's damage

(Dex/10 - OppDex/20) / (OppDex/20 - Dex/10) = 2

Solving, you get Dex = 5/4 Opponent Dex

That means that you only need *25%* more Dex that your opponent to be doing DOUBLE his damage.

As an archer, I would go with dexterity, since constitution and dexterity have the same effectiveness against warriors and mages, but dexterity is far better against scouts.

Wraithlin September 12 2010 1:14 AM EDT

You want the bow with the higher max damage.

This is because of dungeons, alot of dungeons will be luck to beat them the first time, so you want the one that gives you higher criticals, so that when the stars align for you, you get higher crits and beat him possibly a level before you should have.

Ankou September 12 2010 1:24 AM EDT

Post 400

I always added damage and +life from con and the higher number gets my bid.

lostling September 12 2010 2:05 AM EDT

my mage just goes luk con and int = lol and all the items that give me the most of same 3 stats

QBOddBird September 12 2010 10:51 AM EDT

UGH SO MUCH WEIRD STUFF HAPPENS IN THIS GAME, IT IS SO GLITCHY

2 mushrooms have randomly disappeared

quests like to start themselves without my assistance

and just a second ago my item ended up in the store and no longer in my inventory, selling to me for the cost it sells to the store at? And I had no gain in gold, so I didn't sell it to the store accidentally or glitch-a-dentally.

Seriously, IDK how long I'll be sticking with S&F if the glitchiness keeps pulling this crap on me. Games are supposed to be fun, not annoying.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 10:56 AM EDT

i have never had any of those problems but i have had others say they have had issues.

did you ever uninstall your flash stuff and get the latest?

QBOddBird September 12 2010 11:00 AM EDT

Yep.

Since my previous time with the problems, though, I've done a system restore and a reinstallation of Windows. I'll go see if I can un/reinstall Flash and see if that helps anyway.

QBOddBird September 12 2010 11:05 AM EDT

OK, reinstalled it. Now to see if that helps any.

QBOddBird September 12 2010 11:06 AM EDT

Nope, just clicked the tavern and it had already pre-selected a 10 minute quest for me.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 11:11 AM EDT

does it allow you to cancel them and choose another?

QBOddBird September 12 2010 11:16 AM EDT

Yes, when I catch them before they complete.

The other night I walked away from the computer, went to watch a television show, came back and hour later and watched three tavern quests complete. I have no idea what the duration or reward on any of them were.

Since my reinstallation of Flash, however, I've discovered a new issue! My items like to become part of the store. In particular, a pair of boots.

They were initially worth 17 gold as a sellback, and then I found them in the store for 17 gold. Upon buying them back, they were now worth 3 gold sellback, and 2 quests later, I found them in the store selling for that price. They're MY boots, dammit, so I bought them back again. Sellback dropped to 60-something silver then.

But the glitch game has changed! I just checked again, and they haven't put themselves back in the store, but the sellback value on them just dropped to 13 silver.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 11:19 AM EDT

yeah, read your bug thread over there, that is some crazy stuff. maybe with the added data the support team can figure it out for ya! sorry man. ; (

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 11:21 AM EDT

'tis a long shot, but you might try disabling any "special" abilities on your touchpad since you are using a laptop. i have had some of those cause problems with other programs in the past!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 11:21 AM EDT

not that that should make any difference on the item issues, but more on the button pressing issues.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 11:30 AM EDT

from reading some old bug threads i can see where, in the past, if the screen seems stuck and people click buttons continually some very strange things seem to happen.

most advice seems to be click once and if the page doesn't respond, refresh but don't click again.

this probably doesn't help either but i thought it was useful for us all to know.

Minnakht September 12 2010 11:36 AM EDT

Oddbird!

Something's causing your actions to send twice.

When you type into guild chat, you send the message twice, 4 minutes apart from each other.

Perhaps you're sending two requests to S&F, making it start another quest automatically?

Another player had this problem exactly, and I believe it had something to do with the router.

QBOddBird September 12 2010 11:47 AM EDT

Yeah, I only click once.

Arf - any suggestions? I'm thinking when I get back from work, I'm going to shoot an e-mail to the S&F Bug team, but if it's on my end and you can find that thread with the solution then that would be great. :)

Ankou September 12 2010 12:02 PM EDT

Well, an easy test to see if your router is the issue would be to try and log on from a different access point. Do you have a laptop you can take to a college or library? Can you test it at work?

If the problem persists from a different access point, then the problem is most likely on their end. If not, are you computer savvy enough to rebuild your network? completely resetting the router may undo a bad setting that is messing you up.

Minnakht September 12 2010 12:03 PM EDT

There isn't an official solution unfortunately, but one of the suggestions in the thread might help you.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 12:14 PM EDT

here is the thread ob:

http://forum.sfgame.us/showthread.php?t=1705&page=3

when you first started playing i do remember wondering why your chat thing would come through multiple times. i am not sure when you got the new computer, but if it was since you started playing then this does sound like a router issue.

the doubling download speed seems to be the issue or option on the router that causes issues with the game from reading that thread.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 12:17 PM EDT

is your router a cisco router?

zev September 12 2010 4:38 PM EDT

I've had those same problems as OB. They seem to come and go though. Right now i'm not experiencing those issues. Although a point of interest I didn't start to have these problems until I created more than 1 character in the game. I currently manage 3 characters and I some times get the same issues exactly how OB is describing them.

AdminShade September 12 2010 4:45 PM EDT

Haven't looked back but anyone having problems logging in?
I've started a quest and clicked a few times but all I get now is a black screen... :(

QBOddBird September 12 2010 4:55 PM EDT

It is a Netgear router.

You're right Arfbargle - I've only had these issues since I switched to the new laptop. Same router as before, but with the new laptop these errors keep occurring.

Looking at my router settings, I don't see any "double download speed" or anything like that. =\

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 4:57 PM EDT

when you first posted that you were having trouble ob, was that on the old computer or new one? i think that was right after you started the game.

QBOddBird September 12 2010 4:59 PM EDT

Nope, new one. I didn't have any trouble with it under the old computer - I started this game at least two weeks before I came back to CB, and was playing it using the old laptop at that time.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 12 2010 5:02 PM EDT

i was just trying to determine when it was that i first saw your guild chat entries coming up twice.

i guess i could find the first post where i said reload flash as i think it was at that time.

Demigod September 13 2010 12:04 PM EDT

We'll have another guild war tomorrow morning. Assuming we don't have another last-minute change due to the target getting attacked, we'll have a bit of deja vu with WTFLOL.

You know... the team we fought a while back because they beat us up when we were smaller. Revenge is sweet, and it's done more than once. :)

Plus, this was the team that gave us the best fight of all. We won the last fight with our very last guy, so this should prove interesting.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 13 2010 12:07 PM EDT

we could try big bada bum if wtflol isn't available. are we going to see if someone can start it around the beginning of xp time?

Phrede September 14 2010 6:07 AM EDT

raikkanto September 15 2010 1:26 AM EDT

Demigod September 15 2010 1:46 AM EDT

Yeah... I'm lvl 54, so I earn a little more than that. And by a little, I mean a hell of a lot more.

lostling September 15 2010 12:49 PM EDT

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 15 2010 1:25 PM EDT

8 of them are above sixty including two who are over 70. unless a large number of them fail to prep, we won't win.

QBOddBird September 15 2010 7:36 PM EDT

I wonder if we would win if everyone were prepped. They have a couple more 50+ opponents, but if we wore them down before our bigger guys got to them then I wonder how much of a chance we'd have..

Ankou September 15 2010 7:41 PM EDT

Snowball's chance in...

hey, its possible

Demigod September 15 2010 9:11 PM EDT

One hour 'til the beat down. Only 8 of their guys have prepped, but they're 8 very large guys with potions. This won't be pretty... but we'll outgrow them eventually. ;p

Phrede September 16 2010 2:10 AM EDT

Well we did better than I had hoped - their archer "nir" did a lot of damage for his/her level - if any of our archers are wondering about the balance of stats they should adopt, you could do worse than have a look at nir's setup.

Well done guys. We will get them next time.
