I was cheering on the kids in the 2nd link. The kids would probably be more disturbed to watch him make quality sausage from a carcass.
d'oh...ob's second link is the same on from jamie oliver. my bad!

This makes me think of is the episode of ATHF where the tribal dude keeps saying "ARISE CHICKEN!" with meatwad.
Glad I don't eat nuggets :)

OH MY GOD!!! ITS STILL CHICKEN!!! There are so many other things that you can make out of the "horrible." I like to chop up the "horrible" like he does and then boil it to make a broth for noodles and soup. Throw in a blade bundle of lemon grass with some soy sauce and you have yourself something AMAZING!
While it is gross, that doesnt necessarily mean it's bad for you.
Anything with stringy meat would not be made that way, for an easy way to tell.

/me worked at Hillshire farm this summer, and I was able to see a lot of interesting things, but then again I am a fat kid and they had free meat in the lunch room, so I didn't care.
But so deliciously tasty!

My mother uses the "gross parts" of the turkey to make gravy, and her turkey gravy rocks! If you've only had gravy out of a can or an envelope, I feel sorry for you.
And to reiterate Sye, where do you think (chicken, beef, fish)stock comes from?
The vegan freaks used to show this stuff at the student union during lunch time. I'd get a big juicy burger with bacon on it and sit down in front of the TV and make a pig of myself.

I had a vegan friend chastise me for drinking milk. She couldn't figure out while I wasn't moved by the argument of "it's passive hormones!"
Deja vu that picture has been posted here before right?
Put me back a couple hundred years ago I am sure I would use every piece of that chicken, even suck the marrow out of the bones...

Agree. Wouldn't it be wasteful not to use every piece that we can? Is it only wrong or gross because people don't know exactly what they are eating? Personally, I try to limit my consumption of processed meats.
Fun shapes? Say hello to a fun OLD shape with a McDonald's twist!

Maybe Jamie should have tried that one.....lol
You guys should watch a program we had on over here about our worst food. ;)
It wasn't water injected chicken breasts. It wasn't even Donner Kebabs.
It was (much like the nuggets) a processed sausage that had so little meat content it couldn't even be called a sausage.
At an expo, the presenter made some and offered them around to people. They ate and liked them...
What did it have instead?
From what I remember, mostly connective tissue, starch, and a bunch of other stuff. None of it good for you.
They had to called them 'bangers' because they couldn't legally call them sausages! ;)
You mean like Jello GL? Thats connective tissue ;).
Why is it "bad" for you? It's certainly gross, but I'm sure some of the less desirable parts have useful vitamins/minerals that are of lesser quantities in the meat. Like liver is iron rich.

For the most part, the hotdogs at hillshire contain very little meat, they are mostly salt and filler ingredients.

hey chicken wazzup
I wish they made my burgers that way :D
Because if you contract mad cow that way, no one will know about that other thing?
What's the other thing? Iron Man does not get Mad Cow disease, he gives it to cows when he eats them.

wat
Why is it "bad" for you?
Becuas they had next to no nutritional value. I can't remember the details. ;)
The presenter went on to other types, and I caught the start of his 'Meat' episode. He wanted to find the worst and cheapest beefburgers, and what I saw found an economy range that had 47% Beef (the legal minimum. 52% is the EU minimum for Beefburgers, but 'economy' can go down to 47%), and 21% Beef Heart.
It was very interesting. ;)
I think his name was Alex Rilley, check him out on youtube (can't link anything due to swearing). Just search for 'Britain's worst Food' (or similar).
Why are you calling Iron Man a "he?" She's clearly Fe male.

Does that mean she has a magnetic personality?
I'm sure she could conduct a few experiments.
I would think heart would be better than regular meat given they are both muscle and the heart is the hardest working muscle. Probably very lean.
IIRC, heart is very high in cholesterol.
Heart does appear to be slightly higher in cholesterol (105 mg - 3oz for heart, 70-90mg - 3oz for ground beef). Other organ meats do appear to be rather high in cholesterol though (300+), especially brain (2000 +).
οΎ•The heart is a very concentrated source of CoQ10.
My friend tried those once and they smelled horrible so I've never tried them nor do I want to.
lol @ JS -- you win again.
If you happen to be Vietnamese like I am, chances are you eat cow heart and chicken heart by itself anyway (it sounds gross, but it's delicious). Chicken heart + fish sauce + rice = yum.

Chicken heart + fish sauce...what about fish heart + chicken sauce?
IDK about any of those combinations, but I do like rice.
