This is true, though not in the way you are probably hoping. The thing that's higher priority is the new job that I started. It is very time consuming, and the 3 hours of commuting a day don't help.

There's no reason I can't make shirts. I just have to find the criteria from Jon for who actually gets them. Or just make up the criteria myself.

grats on the new job. one of the main reasons i wanted t-shirts again is that once the email goes out letting everyone know they got a shirt, we often have people return to the game so please make sure that the email notification is sent as well! ; )

Thanks for the update. And I'm on a very weak air-card connection in the middle of nowhere right now. Will someone with reliable interwebs search for the criteria? It's bound to be mentioned in one of the previous shirt threads.

bast had the foresight to ask just that question. sadly it was never answered.

i do know that many people who hadn't logged in for years came back after seeing the email sent when the t-shirts were delivered so i feel that it was basically all accounts created before a certain date. the date was most likely december 31st of the year being commemorated.

but then again i could be wrong:

There were two ways to get a shirt:

- Join during 08, and be active in the week before I gave the shirts out.
- Be a supporter, and be active during 08 at all

NS, just go with the above method. It's likely the one Jon used, and if it's not, who cares -- I still get a shirt, which is ultimately all that matters. :)

since 2010 was the fifth anniversary of cb, it would be nice to give one to every account that is in good standing or not banned. we can send an email out to everyone letting them know they have a commemorative gift and hope like heck that some of them come back to check it out! ; )

I'll try this weekend. I'm also supposed to attend a talk at work given by the guy at IBM that built that Jeopardy computer.

Also, in other news, I just found out that IBM built a computer to play Jeopardy............
