Do items still disappear on retired chars (in General)

I have 3 chars with tons and tons of armor and weapons on that I want to save for a future contest, in addition to some money. But, I want to make sure that it won't disappear. So, is this still happening?

If the char gets deleted everything on it goes poof. I forget exactly what the parameters for this were but it was something like 100-200k mpr or else 1 mil NW worth on the char to prevent auto deletion.

I never heard about retired characters and items disappearing?

It's happened to me a couple times before.

Nat, do you know if it takes money into account? Like what if each char has like 5M setting on them, surely they won't qualify for auto deletion?

I don't know. I was only told NW and MPR amounts by NS when he looked into it before.

I have noted in the past it was for chars who were already overloaded with gear and has the up to the threshold of 25 items unequipped.

I heard about it but thought it only applied to very small MPR characters.

These are 1MPR chars Demi :), and I'm not going to retire them till I find out, which sucks, because I now only have 2 slots left, 1 excluding my real char.

i looked a bit in my time off as well, no luck yet...sounds like a good place for a search contest! ; )

^ I recently had 2 of my retired characters disappear from the list completely. They both had nothing on them, I just figured I'd post for the sake of validating the fact that retired chars can disappear.

Whether or not they do with items/money on them I have no clue.
