Release date looks to be May 4th in the US, according to MetaCritic and a couple TV ads I saw...
MetaCritic has it at a 77/100...that's very good, especially for a comic-book sort of movie. Spider-Man 2, for example, a well-regarded film, ended up at an 83/100 on MetaCritic...

If anyone has already seen it, would they recommend 3-D? Usually 3-D movies make me dizzy, but I was wondering if it enhances the experience.
I saw it in 3D, and plan to see it agian in 2D.
Some of the fight sequences were a bit, jumpy, and I'm hoping the 3D is the cause of the problem.
(I'm not a big fan of movies converted to 3D post production, unlike movies made in 3D, like Avatar)
There was one massive bonus for 3D though.
Scarlett Johanson. ;)

Just got my tickets for Friday. I gotta say, I'm excited. I'm disappointed in the choice of Ruffalo as Banner (I liked Norton a lot) but excited none the less. :)
I do not think they could have picked anyone besides Norton as Banner and I would have been happy. That being said I do not expect it to bring the movie down, only keep it from even more levels of awesome that I am sure Edward Norton would have provide.
I think it came down to money and the fact that Banner probably gets less screen time than all the other heroes.
I was just as sceptical. But these concerns will disapear when you see Ruffalo on screen. ;)
That he was the first Banner to be motion captured and actually played the Hulk (who was voiced by Lou!) does wonders for the role!

Ruffalo did a decent enough job. He played the brilliant scientist well enough, meh, maybe I'm just biased. But as said already, he did not bring the movie down. That would have been nearly impossible for all of the EPIC AWESOMENESS that filled the screen for nearly 2.5 hours. Wow.
If you see it in the theatre I will say just this. Do not leave until the movie is over. COMPLETELY OVER. as in ALL the credits are done. Ya know what, just wait until they start sweeping up and the employees are like "really dude, that's it".

This movie was awesome. The Dark Knight was the best superhero movie but it was very dark. This was probably the alternative to that style of movie but still makes it work well, much more lighthearted.

For us, the Teaser came before the end of the credits. ;)
Took the little guy (10) to see it Friday night. We had a blast.
The movie, for being a comic book adaptation, was very well made I thought.
Looked over at him a few times during it and he was nothing but eyeballs glued to the screen with a piece of popcorn in hand half way between the bucket and his mouth. Good times.

GL, so you saw BOTH teasers....as in TWO seperate post movie clips? ;)
There was a second?
Bah, Guy who saw it the night before said there was only the one. I'll CM you the one I saw.
Just saw it yesterday and I absolutely loved it. We were going to wait till after all the credits rolled to leave but then we saw the first teaser and figured that was it, now that I know there was a second teaser I'm kinda disappointed we didn't stick around just in case. :(
Honestly I didn't think I was going to like the movie at all, I honestly had no desire to see it, but it was my friends bachelor party and that's what we did earlier on in the day before we began the festivities later on that night. I was pleasantly surprised.
Plus.. Scarlett Johansson.. need I say more?

I should say, in a way not to spoil anything... that only one clip was an actual "teaser" ...meaning, hinting at something possibly to come.
the last clip after the credits and everything was more... just for fun.
*Darth Vader voice* "Nooooooooo!"
Must see the clip after the credits.. even if it was a just for fun thing.. >_> we totally should have stayed.
Watching the movie I noticed that the majority of the time I had some stupid grin on my face and could not stop smiling out of pure enjoyment.
Ruffalo did do a pretty good job and in many ways this movie did a better job telling Hulk's story than either Hulk movie ever did.
The Hulk got the two best comedy moments in the Movie. ;)

yep. Piss in your pants funny.
Just an amazing movie. Almost 2 movies in one.
And I agree. Ruffalo did a great job as the human part of the Hulk.
