Wow.. that was actually one of my many many possibilities I considered. Except I stopped at *what* the user pics were (which did not fit any pattern), I didn't even know there was a way to see the file names. Just now found you can click on the user portraits to see the full size and original uploaded filename, but right click -> properties gets you the hosted filename of portrait-thumbnail-bits.tcl.jpg. Doh!
