Crying Foul (in General)

should not be able to continue until this thread
has been fullfilled.
Does anyone else see a problem here?
December 7 2008 10:46 PM EST
I personally don't see the problem, just ensure that he continues to pay, and if he doesn't fulfill his part of the bargain he gets banned.
he can't sell his character in order to get money to pay you?
Has been paying off his debt at all since that thread? It's been a long time.
ok wait your quitting and sold me your cb with no complaints, and now you complain
As long as he intents to pay you back there is no issue with the sale.
December 7 2008 10:53 PM EST
I have an issue with people heavily in debt selling things for USD however there's nothing you can really do in your situation. Perhaps you could CM him and ask if he could amend the post to a CB$ only sale?
December 7 2008 11:15 PM EST
"ok wait your quitting and sold me your cb with no complaints, and now you complain
You bought my char and paid me nothing but xfer fees, my not playing anymore has nothing to do with your non-payment. Also, when you bought the cb2 from me I did not know it was you, you have changed your name quite a few times since then. You notice I have not asked for your ban, which is/was in my right to do so for non-payment. I am a reasonable guy, sell the char if you like, but please pay back what you agreed to pay.
"Also, when you bought the cb2 from me I did not know it was you"
From: Relic Sent: December 5 9:23 PM EST Delivered: December 5 9:27 PM EST
You know you never did pay me back for Bleys :(
looks like you did to me, but hey whatever you want... i'll pay what i can when i can.
December 8 2008 12:07 AM EST
I feel like I am the one being attacked here.
You are the one defaulting on a publicly recorded deal, I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt and allow you to make good on your agreement.
I'll have to say that Relic still wins here.
Even if he did sell CBD to you, that was a separate deal, I don't see how it would nullify the first one.
December 8 2008 1:32 AM EST
You owe Relic 36mil. Be glad he hasn't charged interest OR gotten you reset yet.
December 8 2008 2:20 AM EST
Have to say it here but ask for the reset. It'll be well worth it. Especially with comments like, "i'll pay what i can when i can".
December 8 2008 2:31 AM EST
"i'll pay what i can when i can"
You have more than 28M cash, surely you should be giving this to Relic rather than loaning it out to others.
December 8 2008 2:32 AM EST
Don't be stupid, then he wouldn't get the money back.
1. Ask for a deadline/timeline.
2. Make sure it's followed.
December 8 2008 2:32 AM EST
Sure she should pay off what she owes, but on another note, that charactor is not worth 36 million.
it was at the time of the sale, when no one passed 3 million MPR, and considering the amount of money relic invested in that NCB.
December 8 2008 2:45 AM EST
actually plenty of people were above 3mill MPR at that time
December 8 2008 2:50 AM EST
Bane does in fact have 28mil on Bley. My only question is 'why?'
December 8 2008 4:09 AM EST
The funny thing is if Relic gets his cash for the character paid back then it will have come from Relic in the first place.
December 8 2008 4:14 AM EST
It would be as though he sold it for USD.
disregarding the current clan war crap, this is exactly what the credit risk flag was made for...
December 8 2008 4:16 AM EST
Agreed. I think Relic's well within his rights to to get that flag placed. Now I'm going to stick my nose elsewhere. ;)
I know of a place Johnny, =P
Non-Das Clans Stink (Bleys) 188.8.131.52 Relic (MrMunch) $20000000 -- partial payment... 7:36 AM EST
can't you people stop antagonizing people, and stop this clan war crap damnit.
The monies from the sale of Bleys will go to RELIC :)
December 24 2008 10:19 AM EST
Money $5,855,989----> He has not given it to Relic yet. So quit your bellyaching and be dilligent with your payments or you will have to answer to the ban hammer =3
December 24 2008 11:20 AM EST
The problem, like many of the other "problems" of this nature, was the lack of a time frame on the payment of the initial debt/sale.
In reality, there is no "default" as there was no time frame of which to pay.
But selling an asset on has not paid for yet should be forbidden.
December 24 2008 11:22 AM EST
Come now come now, people. Relic has done the right thing I think.
Just give the other player some time to think and react before he's burnt as a witch...
December 24 2008 11:26 AM EST
Uh... ignore the above post, as when I put it into HTML.... it apparently became invisible.
Guys, Non-DAS is a girl... XD
December 24 2008 11:30 AM EST
no Non-DAS is a guy and is married.
any other questions?
December 24 2008 11:31 AM EST
I don't see what he has done wrong, no time limit was put on his repayments. That is Relic's fault. He hasn't sold Bleys, so what's the problem?
December 24 2008 11:33 AM EST
But Non-DAS had "War Maiden" as a name. >_<
Time limit or not, the credit risk flag is appropriate for someone who fails to make payments on a regular basis.
Relic shouldn't have to wait forever for payment simply because of a technicality. If he was asking for a reset, I might argue that the lack of clarity in the pr makes it difficult to suggest, but the CR flag is just a friendly reminder to pay your bills.
As for your statement about doing nothing wrong, I really can't believe you actually think that.
December 24 2008 11:49 AM EST
No, nov, I'm fine with the credit risk, I'm just surprised by people mentioning a ban, that is absurd IMO.
Scoffing at debts has resulted in bans before... and it's typically been the behavior of the individual debtor more than the time line.
December 24 2008 11:55 AM EST
I've closed this thread.
Not because I don't like a discussion, but because this discussion is of none of everyone elses concern but the Admins, Relic's and NON-Das'
Should anyone make another thread regarding how absurd / how right or how awkward this is, I will close that thread also and finally fine again.
So be warned.
