AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 24 2009 1:03 PM EST

nice catch!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 24 2009 1:04 PM EST

it is in special items as well!

QBRanger January 24 2009 1:05 PM EST

So will it be 6 bucks as a new supporter item or 11 bucks as a generic supporter item?

kevlar January 24 2009 1:06 PM EST

lol, you guys should give him a little bit to make it a suprise

*looks at all the ripped corners from the supporter items wrapping paper on the floor*

hehe

Zenai January 24 2009 1:06 PM EST

Nice! I wonder what it is gonna do.....

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 24 2009 1:07 PM EST

Gives a minus two to UC for starters

Lochnivar January 24 2009 1:46 PM EST

yes, but what does it do?

blackshadowshade January 24 2009 1:47 PM EST

Patience, Grasshopper.

blackshadowshade January 24 2009 1:49 PM EST

Base AC 31, -2% DX, -8% magic. PR weight 0.2. Does not spawn.

AdminShade January 24 2009 1:49 PM EST

Some forging Scribbles, just to log them somewhere.

150 minutes gets me 10.912% increase (at +25).
Cooling it makes 21.823% (10.911% increase so first timing isn't good yet.).
30 minutes for 2nd timing: 76.382% (54.559% increase this timing is somewhat perfect).
Cooling it makes 98.205% (21.823% increase which is the usual.).

Second attempt:
120 minutes gets me the Forge Dwarf. :x

Third attempt:
160 minutes
from 98.205 to 109.533% (went over 100%, so this also only gave 11.328% increase)

Fourth attempt:
170 minutes
from 20.699% to 40.553% making a 19.834% increase. (which makes sense with the 20:10:50:20 ratio on RPM increases.)
Cooling from 40.533 to 50.480% which is 9.947% increase.
30 minutes made it from 50.480% to 0.105% (went over 100%) so made 49.625% increase.
Cooling from 0.105% to 20.426%

19.834 : 9.947 : 49.625 : 20.426 makes a
1,99 : 1 : 4,99 : 2,05 ratio which looks pretty fine to me, even more when it says this already:

You feel quiet satisfaction as you gaze on your Breastplate of Expertise.

LittleLauren January 24 2009 1:50 PM EST

Oh wow, the upgrade curve for this armor is almost exactly the average of the the MCM and the AC.

AdminShade January 24 2009 1:57 PM EST

Final forging formula I found is (170 , 30)

Uses 39 BA which is a lot but can't get it any smaller I think.
And indeed, it's similar to any other big armor ;)

Sickone January 24 2009 2:02 PM EST

So, basically it's a slightly weaker Mithril Cuirass, same overall penalties except less UC penalty ?
That can't be "it", especially with a 0.2 power rating (when MC has 0.1).
There's got to be some additional "features" coming up for it Soonル.

kevlar January 24 2009 2:04 PM EST

let him finish it and announce it himself, lol.

Sickone January 24 2009 2:08 PM EST

But it's so much more fun to GUESS, isn't it ?
Let's start with the sanme, shall we ? :)

So... rumour has it that it's going to have similar effects to the RoE.
Or... rumour has it that it's going to boost edged weapon PTH by 50% of enchantment value.
Or... rumour has it that it's going to reduce the effect of enemy EO by 33% of enchantment value in percents.

Anybody else care to take a wild stab at the dark ? :P

Colonel Custard January 24 2009 2:11 PM EST

Breastplate of Expertise: Doubles the effectiveness of all skills (post-DX penalty). Evasion and UC are good again (except for Mr. Kano-san...)

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 24 2009 2:12 PM EST

Going to be a MC with a fancy name!

LittleLauren January 24 2009 2:15 PM EST

Since base effects seem to be the rage now :

Lowers the penalties on other pieces of armor by 50%!

AdminJonathan January 24 2009 4:19 PM EST

You guys are too fast. Lauren nailed it. :)

CL post up.
