I got a massive strength boost (Herculean Strength) at level 2, but it doesn't seem to have increased my damage at all...?

Do you need to have a certain weapon for Strength to be effective? All I have is a dagger. >.<

I got a star thrower/stick wielder.
He's tough, I won 5/6 with him and defended against quite a few.

My guy throws like 5-7 stars for 4-5 damage each, wipes people out fast. Only one that beat me was a club wielder.. barely hehe.

lvl 2 atm... not sure how enemy whips out weapons so often :P i punched jenn in the face like 3 times for 4s, then the threw a net over me and clubbed me with a flail for 40s >.<

The game is all random to get weapons you just have to make a new char or have a chance of getting one when leveled up but then ddont get a skill either way you start with a skill or a weapon and jen has so many pupils becasue im assuming he spammed it as in make a char to fight his own char and do the same you can do this as many times as you want

I'd say Jenn prolly got like 30+ pupils from this thread :P One more thread on a slightly larger game/forum than this would easily make the 90 ^_^

This has got to be one of the worst games I've played. Pure luck. There are certain items and abilities that are just instant win. (Seen a warhammer in action yet? Get one shot.) No control over your characters at all (Hell, calling a character your own at all makes no sense, any real accomplishment in the game is 100% luck based).

Unless there is a secret panel with allows -control- that I'm just not seeing, I think I'm done.

To be fair, it's a fine game if you're into simply watching things happen with absolutely no control or purpose (3D graphic novel without a plot. Win).

what i'm doing to create characters is to go to that page (the clan page) and click each character in a new window, then remove the 'cellule' from the end of the url to challenge them.

Choas, have you checked to make sure we're all getting EXP for your hard labor? On my page it shows that I didn't get any EXP when you signed up.

If anyone is interested, I can come up with a list of characters that are easy to beat each day. I have some spare characters from trying to get you guys recruits that don't count, and I though I could come up with a list of characters (I already have some level 1s and 2s) that pretty any character should be able to beat. Type those names in the search bar, and there you've got 6 battles won right away. Would anyone like a list like this, or is it poor sportsmanship to conspire like that?

It should only take two victories against level 1 opponents to go from level 1 to level 2, and 4 victories against level 2 opponents to go from 2 to 3. I have not tested if fighting level 1s when you are level 2 gives you less experience, or if fighting level 2s when you're level 1 gives you more. I will be back with a little more data on this.

Be sure to post in this thread if you do lose to any of these. I could only do 6 battles per Brute, so it may be that if you don't have a weapon and you have less than 3 agility you would lose to one of them, but I didn't test with that character, or something.

It appears that fighting level 2 and level 1 characters with a level 3 character gives 2 experience points for a victory, just like a level 3 would. Could someone higher up give me an easy level 4 brute so I can see if I get a challenge bonus from him?

i'm currently lvl 4. defeating a lvl 1 nets me 2 exp. same for a lvl 2, 3, or even 4. can't say as to higher levels.

correction: lvl 1s seem to give me 1 exp now.

Defeating a level one only granted me 1 exp. I am a level 5.

Defeating a level two only granted me 1 exp.

Losing to a level five gave me 1 exp.


I will test tomorrow to see if winning to a level 5 will give me 2 exp again.

yeah the entire game's design is built towards pyramid-style mass hits for ad revenue rather than longevity and brand loyalty. it's got a nice basic game, but it has so much more potential. sad.

The MyBrute site is confirmed as having been compromised by "Downloader.Swif.C" (Trojan horse that exploits the Adobe Flash Player Multimedia File Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability in order to download more malware on to the compromised computer).
If you don't have the latest flash player (which should have had that vulnerability fixed) and if you don't have a decent antivirus program, you might want to get a good one ASAP.
The site is known to have shoved keyloggers down people's machines, so if you used any credit cards online since you started using MyBrute without *ahem* "protection", you might want to double and triple-check your credit card statement, change all your passwords and so on and so forth.

People from EVE-Online that play it have reported their antivirus flashing up like mad lately, been confirmed by many people with different antiviruses, and people from other forums I visit have been reporting the same thing.
I always found "mybrute" links annoying, so I never played... but I remembered there's a thread about it in here, so I searched for it, and posted this info for those of you that do play.

Ok, I did some research and found that some threads said that it was not actually from their site, but on the peoples' computers already. The flash on my brute simply triggers this trojan, this could no be 100% true though, so staying away from it is definitely not bad.

It looked at first like it MIGHT be a false alarm for Norton users, but some people reported it as being detected by AVG and F-Prot too.
It's never bad to double and triple check "just in case".
Either way, if you had the latest flash player version you shouldn't have been affected.

Yeah, I might have the latest versions although I'm not sure. AVG didn't turn up anything for me.

Well AVG and Malware turned up nothing, appears as if I'm lucky.
