is CB slowing down? (in General)

for the past few days I have noticed CB being more slow than it used to be, pressing enter while fighting especially.

When clicking fight, it sometimes also slows down but not that much.

Is it CB or is it me? I've checked all my connections to CB and it doesn't seem on my end...

CB is the only site I am having slow-downs on too.
It cleared up briefly today, but I am getting it again.

Ask Jon to look at the average load page for the past few days and compare it to a week ago or so.

it has been sluggish for me over the last 24 hours sporadically. jon ordered a new server i believe due to some issues with the other one. i haven't heard any news on it being installed yet though so maybe that is the issue?

Its 2012 for CB guys.

Give it time, it will pass eventually.

Yeah, I asked about this in the recent change thread because I noticed it in a big way immediately after that.

Yeah, the sluggishness because noticeable to me after this most recent big change. It's pretty slow.

It was slow for me for a while even before the change. Right now, my botchecks only load when i right click > show image. Then typing it in, i have to reload my forge page cause it will never load. >.<

Ditto to that. More fines/errors, and slower load times. Also, it seems as though I sometimes can't click enter to fight...

I've had multiple issues with CB lately, including everything you guys have noted and more. Bad load screens, basic non-quicklink pages, Train By errors, & inability to switch characters without logging out and back in again. I have already done all the basic things told to me by admins, techies and professional IT's. I have noticed that when NS says he finished working on something it gets better.

I have noticed random page loads lagging out and almost every bot check lags out also. This started about 2-3 days ago for me.
I dont have this problem with any other site so i came to the conclusion that it was this site.

I was just thinking this myself. I noticed it for sure yesterday and just brushed it off. Same today.
Click... (long pause)... fight / results.

I"m getting slow too. It has become quite the nuisance...

I'm not seeing it running slowly. If anything it feels faster than normal....

I usually I get this here and there, but yesterday I had this happen like 5 times.

CB was really slow for me this morning but it's much faster now.

Got another 10 minute suspension, and failed botcheck.

Another 10 minute suspension. CB is the only site that's this slow. It's incredibly slow.

And I spoke too soon as well, now it was slow again.

Yeah, I'm having a tough time today with CB as well.

it seem like out of 5 every fights or actions at least 1 is taking more than the usual amount of time to get through.


Clicking fight after have pressed enter to fight usually helps speed up things, though continuous clicking fight slows down also.

I completely ditto what shade said with the clicking fight thing. I find every fifth one or so is a stalled load.

Shade has it spot on. It's driving me crazy. It's taking ages to burn ba. Missed a few hundred the other day. Missed another couple hundred during exp time. : /

Idea: Maybe it has to do with random drops being calculated?
There are probably ways that could be fixed.

The slowdown happened before the recent item spawning change...

According to Verifex there is something wrong with the path all our connections take towards CB server, there is something clogged which hinders our speedy connections.


In other words, in between our highway and the one from CB server, there is a small back road which is really slow... (according to fex)

Works for me at least.

When CB hangs for a while and won't load your forge action, goto Business > Forge to reload the page, and it should load right away. Even if you did multiple actions while it was hanging, it will load those added actions as well. While still quite annoying, it helps make it go quicker [instead of waiting for the hang time] and so you dont miss some botchecks here and there.

Just a small "thing" about the internet : the path you see in a traceroute is the path from YOU to the server... the reverse path (from the server to you) COULD be different.

this place is so slow indeed...locks up on botchecks...locks up on battles and messes me up and I get fight banned..its always been horrid for me

It's back to normal, still doesn't make up for the 10+ 10 minute suspensions and failed bot checks I received the last couple of days.

Still very irregular response at my end. Overall slow though..

I often have to hit the fight button twice or thrice to actually fight anyone. Been happening since the start of last week.

Worse today. And I'm noticing that the sidebar is taking an extra second to track with the main window fight as well.

I agree it does seem to be a little slower than usual.

I have yet to get a 10 minute time out, however, when it is slow I do not do anything for 1 minute.

But it is very slow at times.

has been a bit faster for me now, but every 5th fight or action still takes too much time (i.e. twice the time / a second load)

Okay, fights should not take 3 or 4 seconds to complete, what is going on here? Are we really beating up the server that much?

Every time I check, the server load is small...

I am having the same issue, though... Just wish I knew what was going on...

I'm getting more and more pop-ups from CB that says "error, could not connect to CB at this time." Never have I experienced this before.

This is NOT COOL. Every other fight is lagging now.

I'm not having this problem at all. I'm from Sweden btw.

I just went through 100 BA and had 96 go super-fast, with the remaining 4 lagging.

In other words, it seems normal here in GA, USA.

The speed I'm getting is horrible at the moment.

Just got another 10 minute suspension, AND somehow failed a bot check during that suspension. During XP time. Bloody great.

The 10 minute ban feature needs to be temporarily removed, or at least its severity lessened, while this issue remains.

It's really weird, I'm reading this thread and, as I've already said, I'm not seeing any slowdown. And it really does seem faster than normal for me.

fluctuates often, was fast for me just now, burned through 144 BA in about 5 minutes forging just now. Earlier this morning took me about 15 minutes for 160 BA.

THIRD one TODAY. This needs to get fixed and quick. I can't imagine people playing on dial-up. I don't understand why it's so slow and laggy, what was the major change that caused this? Did Jon downgrade?

I'm jealous of you JW. I just tried to load into this page and timed out. After taking almost fifteen minutes to burn 99 BA.

CB is getting slower on us. Methinks Jon should of put in that button where he sells us the CBD and we pay him the USD. Faster new server.

I'm good on average, no timeouts though.

BA is about 7 to 8 minutes slow, I don't know why. I don't remember it being like that when I joined CB.

CB is running smoothly now...

Finally, I am having no problems with CB. It's running somewhat fast again. :D

But, I have been getting BA about 10 minutes late each refresh.

I think they fixed the highway between all / most of us and CB server :)

it does seem very responsive now. hopefully all issues are corrected!

Slowed down heavily again tonight. Lost connection to the server a few times, had fights take a full minute to load and even had a broken bot-check image link.
