Public notice - stop harassing new players (in Public Record)

AdminNightStrike June 16 2009 1:30 PM EDT

This is a notice to all those out there who are not part of the administration staff, but yet feel the need to constantly search for and destroy people they think are cheating:

Stop.

I hope that's clear.

Orlly June 16 2009 1:31 PM EDT

Tyvm

Wasp June 16 2009 1:32 PM EDT

Amen to that.

QBRanger June 16 2009 1:47 PM EDT

I think the key is innocent till PROVEN guilty.

Let the admins do their jobs. They are really good at it.

Rawr June 16 2009 1:50 PM EDT

As some say, curiosity killed the cat... but I am curious as to what sparked this notice?

Eurynome Bartleby [Bartleby's] June 16 2009 2:13 PM EDT

I think hanging around in chat for a couple hours is sufficient to witness the multi hunts that go on there.

QBOddBird June 16 2009 2:31 PM EDT

Glad to see this thread.

AdminShade June 16 2009 2:42 PM EDT

Sorry about some people possibly having been put on the wrong track. A multi never is a multi until proven a duck...

For all information, Orlly has been talking to us and is fine. :)

AdminNightStrike June 16 2009 10:35 PM EDT

Rawr > Some things are better left unsaid.

Cube June 17 2009 12:47 AM EDT

Thumps up.

Cube June 17 2009 12:47 AM EDT

Whoops - Thumbs

Colonel Custard [The Knighthood] June 17 2009 1:00 AM EDT

Yeah, Thumbs are the ones that go up. Obviously, Thumps go down.

Zenai [Cult of the Valaraukar] June 17 2009 1:31 AM EDT

Good statement NS! If you want to help, or you suspect something tell the Admins and leave the subject alone thereafter.

AdminTal Destra June 19 2009 5:55 PM EDT

Needed bump.

AdminNightStrike June 20 2009 9:36 PM EDT

Thanks, Tal.

[P]Mitt June 20 2009 9:46 PM EDT

If what Zenai says: "Only PM admins or do nothing" is true, we need a FAQ update.

Carnage Blender Terms of Use

As with other cases where you need an admin's attention, if you suspect someone of violating this rule, post to Public Record:

Personally, I think posting suspected multis in PR is fine. Witch-hunting them in chat is not.

AdminNightStrike June 20 2009 10:20 PM EDT

I don't see that, Mitt....

You've been caught, by Google Cache.

AdminNightStrike June 21 2009 12:24 AM EDT

Doh! Google is too slick for me :)

Nevertheless, I think it's time that policy disappeared.
