New Supporter Item Discussion (in General)

We're going on six months since the last supporter item, so I think it's fair game to chat about what we hope to see coming up next. A new item might also break up the feelings of stagnation. But really, I just want to hear your wish lists.
Personally, I'd like to see an item that can boost DD spells by negating their penalties.

wow, it has been 6 months, hasn't it...
I'd like to see an item that adds to your STR or DD over rounds, as long as you're alive, by a minimal amount.
On the other side of things, there could also be an item that increases damage by a large amount, but then degrades it quickly through combat.
In one scenario, you try to stay alive as long as possible for maximum effect; in the other, you try to kill as quickly as possible before your offensive power degrades into nothing.

Not sure what you mean by negating their penalties.
Mages have AP as a skill to 1/2 the penalties from armor. That alone is quite enough.
I imagine he's talking about the ranged penalties on DD.

I agree there; mages only really have AP and Evasion as skill choices, so an item that removes penalties to DD would only make AP useless and force mages into an even thinner skill selection.

Asbestos Gauntlets for FB mages, maybe as RoBF damage reducer

A set of gloves FB mages can use to prevent backlash.
A new shield that helps protect from GA.
A new helm that gives 1% chance per plus of an extra spellcast per +. Upgrade as a corn.

new body armor that gives non dispelable SS, same upgrade path and stats like the MC.
Each enhancement gives +0.5% to SS

I like the idea, but is this even enough to make FB viable? Without NSC's any mage is doomed. Maybe if it was a different item slot?

If we make an armor like that, the adam would likely be useless.
We have seen this occur already with the BoE making the McM useless.
I would like to see a new supporter item be powerful, but force characters to make a choice.
With my ideas:
Gloves for the FB mage, making them choose between them AG or NSC.
The GA shield forcing tanks to choose between the BoM, MgS or this new shield. Or mages choosing this or the SoC.
The mage helm forcing mages to choose that or the HoC. Chance for a 2nd hit vs an extra first round.
It would be nice to have an alternative to the TSA, but the TSA for a tank is just too darn nice. Regeneration AND strength boost.
However, I cannot see one that would compete without being overpowered also. And yes, I do believe the TSA is very powerful.
exactly ranger, like the BoE made the MCM worthless, I want an armor that does the same for the ADAM

Then perhaps make it a cloak. Something to force mages to have to choose. Give to get.
If you make it a shield lets say, there is no choice, it is the obvious item in that slot.
I like CB when there were nice choices in deciding what items to use where.
Now, we have gotten further away from this idea. Most items are the only choice for most characters in a cerain slot.

Why waste a new supporter item on something to make something else useless?
Why not have a new item that changes the way things are? Forcing people to make a choice.

I was actually thinking of FB backlash as a penalty, but I don't expect Jon to create a supporter item that only affects FF and FB mages.
I guess if he ever is willing to create such an item, it can't take up the amulet or chest slots as you'd need those to junction the benefit to a FF.

Mages need a class specific amulet and/or shield!
I'd love to see an item like ''Reflection amulet'' wich would simply reflect an amout of a EO casted to you.
Easy example: someone cast a 10000 DM on you and you have a +10 RA (10%), you cast 1000 DM on him.
Or maybe you have a 4 minion team and you cast a AS, the minion with the RA will totaly reflect is amount to another selected minion.
Something like that.
enchanter gloves that make all your items act as if they are named. that may be a bit much, but just adding to enchants seemed too obvious.
Then why not create the ''''''''FORGER GLOVES''''''''' wich would enhance your forging ability and would give you the bash skill with a hammer weapon ( I don't know, stun maybe or extra damage or you downgrade the other equipment).

There was a few good ideas here that Nayab Started could they be viable as well?

Rune of Greed. This item gives 25% cash rewards but with it equipped a player cannot receive a gift from the gods

The tank shield
Equiping it reduces all your str/dex/UC/BL to 0. Gives you a % resistance on physical attacks.
YEAH that sound's good. Who could have think of something THat brilliant .
An item for ED or EO mages that raises encumbrance per enchantment point (could be for anyone walls, tanks).

Okay Silva, point made. A little rude I might add. I don't expect much from you anyways so....
Stole part of this idea from above
"Acid Blade" When it hits an item it downgrades it at a base %?% per hit.
74x1+1(+0) base x and + upgrades like normal but has an extra enchantment bonus
Each number would signify a different Armour or weapon slot to downgrade
+1 = Chest
+2 = Boots
and so on and so on....
Costly to upgrade, receive only a small % back when downgrading.
(to prevent people switching to much)
Hope I am clear on this. It might be hard to program I have no clue
