On Saturday, January 9, if there are not bids on all of the current bundles, I will likely split several up into 1M bundles. This is to ensure that all of the CBD is sold for USD.

This sale will end in one week, January 11. At that time, the winning bidders will send their USD to my PayPal account for accumulation, I will send out the CBD bundles, then I will send in the donation to Child's Play on behalf of carnageblender.com.

if its an auction shouldn't this be under FS section of forum how is this a contest? if you gotta pay...secondly if this is for a GOOD CAUSE why don't u write that on top instead of making it being an auction BOLD and actually write a line or two about what the cause is. When currently CB to USD is selling for US2.25 per 1 Mill CB, how can u justify your higher prices? You have to tell us what this cause is and such....

It's for Child's Play; it's in contests rather than FS/WTB so we can follow and track offers better; Child's Play focuses on helping to ease kids' suffering by supplying games, movies, and other bits of entertainment to various children's hospitals across the world.

lol i guess i just missed this forum i've played for a while. but i figure its always important to introduce the cause to people that might not know or to get new players or donations...just seems like an obvious detail. But thanks for providing the info....now i and other people who might have not known know.

Well, I'm normally skeptic about things like this. I just can't see Oddbird doing something so insanely immoral such as ripping people off in the name of Charity. Though I've been wrong about people before (and I'm sure people have done and gotten away with just such a thing before) :S.

I apologize for not linking back to the initial Charity thread I made exaplaining the cause in the initial post: I'll be editing that in shortly.

As for providing receipts, I'll be happy to do so, and have done so in the past; I am no longer using the PC that I previously did the Child's Play Charity fundraiser from in the past, so I do not have past receipts. I might have posted them up before, though, so I'll check back through my post history and link you if I did.

^i like loch's idea and it could be supported by donated drops sold in auctions. i know i would donate most of my drops to it and that is what i did whilst the item auctions were going on...just sent everything to charity except for the last one due to it being full!

Most if not all are NUB sellouts who want to leave the game not caring about its people or things like the charity auction.

Another reason I hate these type of players who contribute nothing positive to the game.

Doing it all throughout the year would make it easier to have a yearly donation.

It would probably be a good idea to also start showing some sort of receipt or something for the donation to the actual Child's Play at the conclusion of the sale. Something that says "Yes, we actually donated."

This is all done by Penny Arcade, right? Do they give any PR for supporting the charity? If not, they should.

In the past I believe donators who met a certain threshold had their website link and a small banner added to the bottom of the donation page. I recall CB being listed at least once before.

Sorry guys! I got caught up in IRL matters, and was unavailable to respond/update in the thread.

I'm willing to do this throughout the year, sure. I guess we'd just keep Charity open for donations throughout the year, and periodically sell off through auctions and re-open the CBD store? It sounds good to me, so let me know what you think!

As far as charity goes, I think we should send it all to Child's Play, because that's what we originally planned on doing. However, we could always do something for Haiti as well. I'd be more than happy to throw in a few bucks, as long as someone's being helped. So, if we do something like this, again, and soon, which we should, just put it into the site news, and I'll take the time to read the post. We all spend a lot of dough for pixels, so why not a little more for someone that truly needs it. Anyways, personally, I think we should do something like this year-round.
