Now I know that Titan, Gun and several others have contributed to the success of this char but nov is buying it so I say congratz to him. All of you get a honorable mention :-P

I'm still bummed that Novice managed to get xxJS07 off my fight list. My score took a beating after he dropped my 100% wins down to 80%.

I vote we start whining about the RoBF again, as well as anything else that benefits me. :P

That's was all my doing Demi, I switched to an RoBF, although it was nov's tat. I was going to change it to a ToA, but it could be reverted to an RoBF for free, so I was like, why not give it a try.

Unless I'm mistaken, I was still able to beat your RoBF the vast majority of the time. Novice's RoBF is just so large that I have to take him out in Ranged or else we kill each other in the first round of melee.

I'd like to take pride in my suicidal Fire Familiar for at least taking xxJS07 out with me, but it's hard to be prideful when my flesh is burning off.

I'm confused, am I the first to openly say I'm not impressed at all?

For months on and off people have been making fun of "Titan and co" "behind the scenes" for the sheer amount of CBD being put into this venture, and for the fact it's an abuse of the current system fulfilled to it's fullest.

When this abuse first started on a much smaller scale, people said it wasn't a big deal, because no one would do it on a large scale, that such spending of CBD would be silly.

Now here we are, oh joy.

If this exploit is fixed in the future, I for one will call for this characters deletion. Regardless of how much CBD was wasted on it. along with the tattoo that was used throughout.

It's hardly the first char to have used the technique, and considering the original use of it got a pass from Jon, I'm not expecting your wish to come true any time soon.

Looks like someone is just butthurt about someone else using what's available to them to get ahead in the game.

vu-vu at least make sense, the character isn't ahead of me in any way. Except CBD wasted. I could care less about it's position, it's the fact that it's an exploit. As a community we all rallied against this action months ago, and now I'll have to forum dig to find posts that you yourself made AGAINST this nov.

Kid, nov's character Dagobah is in fact higher score/mpr, but we aren't talking about that here, it's off topic and a moot point. Do try and keep up. The character we are talking about here is xxJS07, aka time/money sink. Which has me passed up in no way shape or form.

So what exactly are you talking about? You claim I'm "butt-hurt" because an exploited character is somehow doing better than me (in what world?)

I've beaten every character in this game besides Poison//NWO, I could care less about little things like MPR. Let alone getting "butt-hurt" over an exploited character NOT passing mine. (ZzzZz)

Back on topic, fair enough nov, I was bluffing at digging anyways, such things are beneath me. (not enough time in the day)

As far as I'm concerned at this point, I'm certainly someone who wishes CB was purely about fighting as well as you can. These days there are bonuses, avoiding penalties (pr), and strategy required in order to really grow a char. I certainly disliked this method initially, but the cats long since out of the bag. Be happy we've got another tool to help us grow characters.

It's hardly an exploit. If you've got the moolah to do what Novice has done (and the time) then hats off to you.

Vu-vu if you're trying to do the whole "new player picks a fight with established player to try and make a name for himself" thing, save it, I don't give two ... apples.... about you, your character, who you are what you know what you believe in or what you like/dislike. in short I just don't care about you. You're a nobody to me. Give it 6 months, and maybe if you have something to add to the community besides annoyance at that time, I'll acknowledge you, but right now you're just a loud mouth new player that doesn't matter to me. So sit down and be quiet.

*sigh* much too early in the morning for aggravation.

Nov, I'm not upset at you, or the people involved, most of my frustration is in the fact that such things are allowed to begin with, and that people will say one thing and do another. I'm not even upset, you should know a pattern by now, I seem mad about everything at 9am, you could be like, "Wow the sky is really blue and pretty today!" and at 9am I would reply, "Yeah but the weatherman said it's going to rain all damn week."

Really had to take a few deep breaths there. I haven't slept all night so my fuse is incredibly short, you know it's time to calm down when you're snapping at your girlfriend when she asks what you would like for breakfast haha. :D Thankfully she is fully aware of the time of day and gives very calming hugs =).

Nov has spent hardly anything on the character thus far, short of the $260 USD. I have spent over 150M; if I had the money I would have done a lot more, and not sold it either. The reason I sold it to nov was b/c I liked him and I needed some money. Jir, do you be ex post facto laws? I hope not.

If you recall, the exbow was widely whined about for a long time, but it wasn't until I broke it and started farming the then to-beat character, (ranger/heroes) that something was done about it.

You have put a huge effort into the character Titan, and I apologize for shorting that effort. I do not agree with this "new" method of growth one bit but do not fault you or anyone involved in it. That's a matter for the devs to figure out, not me. I was just in a really bad mood this morning for something not related to CB, and didn't realize that I was coming across as an ass to people that I respect. So again, I'm sorry, I'll bow out of this thread so the festivities can commence :D.

initial user retention has nothing to do with how the top is built at this point, our issue is a world that now hates steep learning curves... and CB looks like the lamest boringest grindiest in the world until you look a little deeper

Congrats on the character. Since this thread has already gone away from the congrats a little I will add my two cents in on what I think.

I understand Jon said he was ok with this as a technique for leveling a character, but I also feel that the first time someone actually does this and ends up passing the #1 spot in mpr because of it that it will then be changed. I don't think no matter how people go about using loopholes that it was intended no matter how much the cost to be able to pass the #1 mpr spot with a ncb character. Just my two cents.

Yeah, my character was probably the reason we started losing users? Where in the world did you go to med school at?

If people feel this method is abusive a solution to that would be to apply the bonus to the character xfer fees as well. Then they would certainly be paying for it.

Or make the chars just like cars. . .you made the character so it's new.

The minute you transfer it and someone else drives it off the lot it's used. . .hence no bonus for being new. . .

Or...introduce team chars, that belong to say, a clan: like a car with 5 drivers. Make us really work together, with that community spirit.

Wouldn't work mate. CB would then become a team based MMO, and without a team character, you couldn't compete.

Imagine hitting all BA, while being able to have a holiday, and sleep 10 hours every night. ;)

Let's take this example to extreme and tell me if anyone really thinks this is smart. Take a group of people. That are willing to do it for a fee. Each person rotates saving up ba to get to the 1600 number. How many days does that take. 1 week. If you have 4 or 5 people do this constantly. Then every time they are at 1600 you transfer the character to them.. That is every day or 2 tops. Now you say the cost is so extreme, but what if someone that has money and doesn't care about the cost decides to do it. They save up the cb money buying it over time and then when it's time to start they go. They would get to an extreme mpr and not have any chance of being caught. Yes it is highly unlikely that someone could get this much cb, but the point is. If they could there isn't a person on here that would think this is right. That is the point. If you don't think it's right in extreme cases then it isn't right in smaller cases. :)

I've been thinking about something similar to just that Sox although my thought was for Big Exp Times only. 4 Players rotating 2 Xfers per Big Exp Time while paying for BA Every Day. Hit this up for the first 4 Months then the last 2 Months only one Xfer per Week like on a Saturday. Should reach about 7 - 8 Mil MPR. I think in a few months I might be able to work my way up to something like this >:-D
