A THF might be a winner vs UC given the SoC.

Would need to be a pretty big weapon though. My big morg (although I don't have BL) isn't big enough with 4 mill strength (I stripped my char) to do enough damage....

Oh would it? a THF is a Hafted weapon, not a Hammer Class so it does not give the secondary effect.

I don't think I'll be allowing even store bought weapons, despite the fact I don't see them having much of a chance. Consider this a UC race basically.

How to beat 8 mil HP, 8 mil ST, +3xx PTH with UC and a SoC...

Will EC really make that much of a difference?

With 3.6k dex, one can easily outdex this monster.

But 8 mill ST and a x30000 weapon (after BL) gives hits averaging 1.5 mill a piece...If you cant dodge those you are toast in a very short time....

Yeah, it wasn't ever about playing the DEX game with EC.

But making those massive hits managable, and also reducing the amount he heals back from his BTH.

As don't think it'll be possible to reduce his PTH (from 300 Weapon plus gloves and cloak) enough for him to 'whiff'.

Is this tournament this simple? I think I have figured it all out, however I think I cannot spend my BA efficient enough to make it work as 1st.

It is supposed to be simple Shade... it's a race basically.

There are however a number of different choices for strat, and your guess is as good as mine as to which will get their first.

The way I've been thinking about this tourney is that its like a race to a giant meat-grinder. "Whoever jumps into the meat-grinder, head-first, wins!!" Really, I don't see a way that I can beat that guy with the tools I'll get, but I guess I'll find out if its possible, the minute someone beats him! I really need more strat experience in this game -.-

I essentially missed 3 days worth of BA in the Zombie tournament and came 5th, surely you can make up for the disadvantage OB!

I did some testing and found that a level 4.8 million EC. Hardly effects this monster. On top of that i don't think you can beat it with evasion, especially when he has over 300+. Maybe a combination of each? Even then you would have to get lucky..

i agree shade, nice mpr numbers folks and great work!

i seem to remember a suggestion i made to slayer that the participation prize be awarded based on battles fought rather than mpr, score or net worth. i thought that might bring in more people who may not be strategy hounds or have time seek out those sweet targets.

the winners are already getting rewarded for their extra efforts and it would be nice if more people stayed in the tournaments rather than getting discouraged from falling behind and just giving up.

i even thought i remembered slayer agreeing to it and planning on changing it on the wiki tournament page, i could be wrong though but if so i would really like to see such a change even if it meant less was given out to everyone for participation but more participation prizes being given. ; )

I think this was talked about and voted against, because it's really

easy to find a few targets and just lose to them constantly and burn

your ba in not even 3 minutes.

kef, the top person in this tournament has used almost 5k ba. there is no way with a cap of 160 that anyone could spend 3 minutes and burn 2500 ba. it would at least require logging in once a day and burning the full 160 for around 16 days.

that in my mind is participation. rewarding people for performance is fine and that is what the winners get. if we are going to have an actual participation prize it should award people for participation though!

when people get a large chunk of ba, that would be different but surely we can still find a way to award participation and increase players in the tournaments and encourage them to stick with a tournament instead of dropping out.

We are fully capable of inspecting characters and check if they at least made an effort instead of making useless fights. :)

I'm going to try to grow as fast as possible until the last hour, and then I'm going to check my character to see if I have enough MPR for a 8,221,500 effect on my EC and still have enough strength to do 8,221,500 damage in 50 rounds. Thats my plan! It seems to be the only option, too. >.>

I highly doubt LR can beat it without using EC.:)

Nothing that Drastic WW! I have had several reasons to quit the tourney, Chief amoung them I'm sick as a dog. Losing sleep while sick is not good. However this last bit in chat combined with CMs just took the last of the wind out of my sails. Besides it's not like I was doing that well any way. With players like Nem, Ranger, MK in the running I knew that I never had a chance of winning. It was all fun for me, with that taken away what reason did I have to continue?

DoS should just hope someone not in the tourney doesn't farm retrain and farm him, lowering his score. Retraining, then lowering it some more. For no reason but to simply hurt him. Sounds like a flaw in the system. But, not to Jon.

The HP on the last minion doesn't matter at all. The purpose of that minion was just to survive past the death so that it wouldn't be a draw. It was a mistake to train PL on that minion, but in the end it didn't really matter.
