• Negative 5 to Unarmed Combat used by the wearer, additional to the Skills penalty.
• Cannot be used while also having a Tattoo, Rune or Familiar equipped.

• Due to relatively high penalties compared to the AC it affords, Chain Mail should be avoided wherever possible.
• A Steel Brigandine is an inexpensive alternative to Chain Mail which offers both higher AC and lower penalties.
