NW Blacksmith Bug [Fixed] (in Changelog)

okay so i found this bug while upgrading my weapons and trying to update the wiki on NW +. Btw for axbow, its entirely wrong.

First off i noted the NW of my weapons with +13 and +15 total NW was 96526 and 136185 for my exbow and axbow, I added the difference to +13 to make it +15 based on what blacksmith told me the upgrade cost was and it said cost 39658 to upgrade it, so +15 would be 136184. So for both weapons at +15 i had a NW anomoly of a difference of 1 136184 vs 136185 for same +15. I disenchanted both weapons to +0 and it displayed NW is 469 for the base weapon, the i looked up the priced from blacksmith to upgrade and wrote them down from +1 to +7 and calculated what should be the expected NW, when i actually upgraded all +7, i looked on my Equip page and the NW displayed was 1 more than what was supposed to be based on the fee in the blacksmith + base NW, so i wanted to see at which + the extra 1 came from.

SO i disenchanted to base again and upgraded one by one and keep checking the NW on my equip page. I was astonished, each time i upgraded the result was an extra NW of 1 than was calculated, so by the time i got to +7, i had a discreptency of 7 instead of the previous 1. cause previously i went from +0 to +7 in one upgrade and difference was only in 1 NW. Now going one at a time from +0 to +7, i had a discreptency of 7. SO people with the same stats on the weapon can now have different NW of the same item. Of course the discreptency is small enough that it doesn't have any impact on money and such in the game or sale of the weapons, but for people like me who like things perfect and update the wiki to be ExACT this is a problem cause now this thing is displaying the wrong NW of the item. Can this be fixed?
btw when i went to +7 individually, i ended up with a NW of 22,521, and when i went from 0 to +7 i ended up with 22515, and when i originally calculated the NW from base based on the upgrade costs its supposed to actually be 22,514

so basically if you upgrade individually...you subtract 1 from the + to hit value to find out true NW. Since i was upgrading from base, i subtracted 1 from +!, 2 from +2 NW value of my weapon and posted the corrected fixed values +0 to +13 up on wiki...in theory if you upgraded from +0 to +whatever straight, you would have an extra networth of 1 from the values listed on the table, or if you upgraded twice in between, then a value of 2 is different. the number of times you upgraded = value the nw displayed is inflated by than what it should be based on blacksmith upgrade costs...

I found a way to fix a display problem to display proper and actual NW value. Lets say you have a crossbow at +13 displaying the wrong value of 96,536 (if you upgraded each + individually via blacksmith) evne though it should be 96,523, if you go to the blacksmith and go to disenchant and go to +12, it fixes the NW of the value to display the correct value of 79,697 at +12 without any deviation.

Also i do not forge and can't say this bug is repeatable if you are forging an item, I only see it if you are using the blacksmith. I'd appreciate it if this was fixed. Thanks.

We already knew this from some items happening, though we never knew why this was happening or where it happened.

So what exactly is the problem?

Weapons with the same x and + have different NW.

The problem is a $1 being added in blacksmith NW calculations every time you upgrade the item.

Ok, so I took my exbow, and I went from x5000 to x5001.

I started with:
nw: 130,374,724
cash: 29,812,026
cost: 9317

I ended with:
nw: 130,384,041
cash: 29,802,709

That's a difference in nw of 9317 and cash of 9317.

What's the issue?

It perhaps reads to me that this issue is with upgrading only the + on the item, not the x.

Nah, I see it... this issue actually has some nasty ramifications in terms of NW on items where people didn't go 1 by 1.

So basically, if two people start with teh same base item, and one person upgrades 1x at a time while the other does it all in one shot.... the latter will pay more and have a larger NW item than the former, but the x on the two items will be the same.

This is going to be REALLY annoying to correct once I actually find the mistake.

Fixed. Every weapon has been recalculated, and the cash difference sent to you. System-handled rentals sent the money to the right owner. If you're holding a weapon for someone, though, you should be a nice person and send the actual owner the cash.

Its NOT FIXED

I disenchanted my crossbow to base so its NW is 469, i went to +1 which costs 358, my NW became not 827 as it should but to 828. I went now to +2 which costs $1017, my NW is now at $1,844 instead of $1,842. So there is now a +2 deviation.

So the bug is NOT FIXED. Each upgrade at blacksmith creates a deviation of 1 in NW from what it should be. The error is in the code of how NW is calculated after being upgraded at the blacksmith.

I fixed it for x, not for +.

I was doing tests, confirming that X NW is FIXED although i never actually checked if it was bugged, probably was...
Checked + NW at it still is buggy so NOT FIXED, I'm not sure if we need to wait for a cache flush for that to be working/displaying correctly?

This bug is really gonna screw up the wiki nw value's

Why is it my bone lost like 500k nw but I got peanuts for it in return?

Well in my case my items didnt loose any NW or X,+'s and now that im awake and have a coffee into me, i wish we could edit our posts, gawd i cant write in the morning.

It is removed when you have trained or pressed it already very recently. (and keeps being gone for 5 minutes)

What I want to know is, I had two exbows at +100, now one is at +99, and the other is at +98. Why are they not the same?

They were upgraded in different ways.

AFAIK, I'm pretty sure I forged both of them to +100 from base.

did you get them both straight from the auctioneer or in drops?
