Hello all. Nice to be here, hope this game pans out to be fun.

Any strategies/help would be appreciated. I'm aiming for a solo fireball mage, and taking the wiki page as advice. But if any experienced players know better, I'm all ears. :)

I lent you a familiar that should help you get through the rough beginning.

Welcome! The wiki is a good place to start and SFBM an even better one. You may want to add Dispel Magic at some point, but I'll leave it to the real old-timers to provide strat advice.

Thanks Demigod! I'm psyched to see that this early on there's people helping me out already. :)

Also, are any of the game tools in the "CB Tools and Resources" page still usable? Or are there some other nifty tools not listed there?

Welcome, Enjoy your time in the wonderful world of cb.

Wow, I haven't checked that section in ages. One of the sites is owned by one of CarnageBlender's owners, and the other is owned by one of this game's admins. But I can't say how often they're updated...

Welcome to CB! Hope you enjoy yourself!

And single FB mage (abbrevatiated sfbm) is a great strat to start the game with. Only advice I would add on that is focus on saving up and buying a regular tattoo whenever you can, it will grow with you and help you a lot. Best of luck!

raikkanto August 2 2010 4:40 AM EDT

Sure thing. Say, which tattoo might be the best for me in the long run?

Also, it's terribly early to be asking this, but how far could the sfbm strategy take me before I need to switch it up?

depends on which fireball mage you want, and what you want to do with your team after it starts to get rougher.

If you get something like a tatoo of endurance, you can rock the solo mage with fewer HP, and you can make a very good tank killing team later.

However, the fire minion is also very popular as it basically doubles your damage and makes it very easy to find targets, however that strat is tougher to merge at high levels.

Of course you can always re-ink your tatoo when you're ready for a change, so really you should play what you enjoy and worry about the rest later.

fireball mages are good for a few million mpr, after about 3 mil though good luck.
