Why hello there!

joshu145 [vaxorak's] November 5 2011 3:24 PM EDT

any tips for getting people to join your clan?

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] November 5 2011 3:27 PM EDT

Well, my first tip would be, why join your own clan? Why not just join a successful clan already. You can start your own clan, but remember, it will take awhile to take off. There's plenty good open clans already, join mine even if you're interested.

i see your point and i figured it would be something like that. is there a rule against posting in the popular forums to join your clan? and also what is the point for retiring you characters?

and how do you keep up with the cost of minions. does the price increase rise faster than the money you make off of average battles?

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] November 5 2011 3:40 PM EDT

Nope, no rules against advertising your clan, just don't like spam the forums. Also, you can make posts saying that you're looking for a clan to join. People retire characters for a number of reasons, as you can only have a limited amount, sometimes you gotta retire one if you want another one. Although as a NUB, there's really no benefit to retiring a character until your NUB is over, so I wouldn't recommend it.

As for hiring minions, the money you make as a NUB should out grow the cost of hiring over time. As a recommendation, I'd recommend staying lower in the minion counts for now. B/c it's easy to hire a minion, you only lose money. But, if you fire a minion, you lose the exp that is invested in that minion and your character gets smaller.

what is a NUB you keep referring to? same thing as a noob? lol

joshu145 [vaxorak's] November 5 2011 3:54 PM EDT

do you guys have an automatic update that will tell you if someone replies to a forum you posted in

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] November 5 2011 3:56 PM EDT

Nope, you just know someone said something when the thread bumps up to the top on home or else if the player on the right side changes names for the reply place.

But that /would/ be a very nice addition to the forum system.

It used to be there -- you could get emailed replies to threads. Jon removed that link for some reason. I can see about putting it back.
