Negative 2% to Direct Damage Spells
Negative 1.5% to Enchant Offense Spells
Negative 1.33% to Enchant Defense Spells
Negative 5 to Unarmed Combat (UC) used by the wearer.
Plus 1% resistance to DD for each point of enchantment. Effect decays by 20% each round of combat. The DD resistance is applied right after Mage Shield resistance, if any, is applied.
Does not block damage dealt by Decay.

The best option for an anti mage wall because of the magic resistance.
Works best vs. Fireball and Magic Missile, as other DD spells are cast later (and thus the resistance is lower).
Doesn't work against Decay so for a 1 minion Tank strategy it would be wise to add in an Antimagic Field Spell to defend against Decay.

The magic resistance given by the EH was originally on the Trollskin Armor.
The introduction of the EH meant that 4 out of the 8 armor slots and both weapons slots could be filled with Elven Gear.
On March 15, 2009 The base AC increased by 2. [2]
On November 22, 2009, The effect decay was reduced from 30% to 20% each round.[3]
