Basic Information and Statistics

  • Base AC : 0
  • Negative 1% to DX and Skills with 1-handed melee weapon.
  • Negative 5% to DX and Skills with 2-handed melee weapon.
  • Negative 5 to Unarmed Combat
  • It does not grant AC. Instead, it protects against Direct Damage Spells based on the + added to the item.
  • It absorbs 1% spell damage per enchantment level.
  • <Jonathan> there hasn't been a cap on MgS in ages , hence no cap on the amount of reduction a Mage Shield can do.
  • Does not block damage dealt by Decay.
  • Negates all spells trained by the wearer (except for spells that still function at a zero skill level, such as Decay, Ethereal Chains or Protection. e.g. if i equip a MgS on my tank that trains protection it will look like this Protection: 0/8,715 (4) no matter what the level is, it will still have an effect of (4) )
  • A PR weight of 0.15 (where PR weight is an indicator of how much your PR will increase with networth when equipped). The higher the PR weight, the more your PR will increase with networth. PR weight only applies to armor and not weapons.
  • Special: Does not spawn, supporter item only.
  • Also referred to as a MgS.
  • Plus 1% resistance to DD for each point of enchantment. Effect does not decay like the Elven Hauberk.

  • To get the MgS to + 96 (with naming bonus an effect of +100), it would take 700.6 years to forge it yourself assuming you added 2.5M NW per week.
