At the 1 month mark I have received:

EG sold in auctions for 535k
IF sold privately for 150k
Corn sold privately for 2M

Total : 2.685M

I feel like I am one of the lucky ones.

Well My tally as of this mark is

MCM 325k
Katana (unsold) should equal 10k
Lesser Steel Familiar Should equal 10k

Total 345k.

I'm sad to see the other thread close. At 548 posts, Oddbird successfully started the longest running thread in my short tenure here. And I don't recall any hissy fits in that thread, either.

I'm also still at 1 drop (for 3 mil) that I received right around the 18,000th fight. That was about a week ago.

1 bone 150k in auctions

2x ToA's and 1 Hal received about 3 weeks ago, nothing since.
So my total is 1.6M

June 3 is when things started.

Well, I lose about 175k a day with this change in effect. And this change has a duration of 34 days up to today, so I have lost just under 6M so far. With the 1.6M of CBD of drops I have gotten, comes to a total of 4.4M lost so far. NICE!

The above is just an approximate, I have no real idea on how much I lose each day with this change in effect, for all I know, it's probably higher then 175k lost each day.

In addition to an AoJ, a lesser tat that sold for 20k in store, and Gloves of Mercy, I have also been gifted with an Amulet of Might, and just a while ago, DBs +3.

@Burton: Just wait until your NUB finishes....175k is a good day's rewards for me...

Also, why is the auction place pretty much empty half the time now? Clearly not much is spawning in there.

new players will get less money, but i don't think they'll notice since they're new players.. besides, with the NUB, i see these guys get a higher MPR in 6 months than i can ever achieve in 10 years of playing

Levon, you're mostly correct, but anyone with a CB-dependant strategy is taking a harder hit than someone with a CB-efficient strategy.

To put it simply, someone running a mage team is hurt less than someone running a tank.

eh not really Demigod. once the market regulates prices of tank items should fall accordingly as with any economic structure.

but the upgrade of those items will stay the same, so therefore the tank team will be able to upgrade their gear much slower than they could in the past.

There are certain "fixed" costs in CB.

Purchaseable BA, item upgrades and minion purchases.

These are not lowered with the new change.

Therefore, while mages are effected by all 3, they are less effected by the item upgrade cost.

Tanks have to increase their weapons to keep up with mage damage.

Therefor less money = harder for tanks to keep up.

Given the fixed costs.

true however from what i've seen tis best to buy a higher NW item anyway. so therefore if you take that approach once the market flattens you can get better deals on higher NW items

It is always advisable to buy higher NW items if your ENC load and budget can afford it.

However, at some point you will want to most likely boost them.

The fixed costs remain, while the money made is less.

Overdrive, some tank items are not upgradeable, which means the rate is not elastic. You can't forge an ELB, so you have to pay 100% to the blacksmith. If you want to buy a large one, the seller has no need to drop below a given rate as it can't easily be undercut.

Yes, I agree the current lottery system is bad.

But you have to admit, a ToE is about as useful as a MeC. About 100k worth of CB.

All the anticipation of a drop to get that. But I could have gotten another Lesser tattoo. :)

I remember when the anticipation of a drop used to be my motivation for fighting.

Now when that little blue bar finally does appear on my screen, instead of getting a rush, it'll be more like "JEEZ, FINALLY". Maybe with an extra "GRRRR" if I see the words "lesser" or "endurance".

I really don't see why CB has this lottery.

Lessers and not top 5 weapons should really be dropped from the drops. Regular tats have their uses in times like these.

I wonder how infrequently drops would be if lesser tats and all non top 4 weapons were eliminated.

The MoD and VB are supporter items and never drop.

It'd stop people from getting stiletto's and katanas and execs.

I'm quitting CB because of the drop system. I'm sure I'll be back later, but this has killed it for me.

If I didn't have SHD's character, this new system would force me to take a leave of absence as well.

Word on the street is that a battle must have actually fought somewhere in there, and that a drop cannot happen on a coma-fight. It is hard to test and even harder to prove...

Lesser tats NEED to be removed from the drop system, they are pointless to anybody who is fighting and they are worth next to nothing. Most newbies dont even both with lessers anymore, let alone anybody who is burning enough BA to get a drop.
This is stupid, they arent considered to be a "rare" item so why are they dropped.

camping required skill, this doesn't.

i thought it was a script that was required?

A script helped you find the items quicker so you could snatch them faster.

Some people like Sefton were experts without using a script.

This system is just mind numbing.

i was under the impression that the script actually checked the checkbox on any rares and all one had to do was click on purchase and if any rares were available they were snagged.

But with the current drop system, I kind of wish camping could come back. Minus the cheating of course.

True. But this can be balanced by modifying the chance we have to get drops in the first place. (Which should be done.) I don't mind drops, but it's almost insulting to get a Kat or Stiletto dropped.

If the chance to get drops is modified then won't rewards also change? Unless you think Jon is going to give us more...

What if we do not worry about changing any drop rates or money compensation and just do away with this whole failed experiment?

Make this strategy game independent on a random lottery/drop system.
