Congratz: When people Judge others.......... (in Off-topic)

It's Z and another Self Congratulatory Thread. Think again Folks!


Yes I have enjoyed my fair share of Kudos and rightly so I have earned them. Some of them I never expected(MPR and Tat Milestones is all I ever Expected since Everyone gets them.), and even more I asked to not even be made at all. I do however dole out Kudos whenever the opportunity arises. Yes I have missed a Thread here and there and for that I apologize folks, honestly I didn't mean to miss your perspective Threads life get's in the way sometimes.

There is only a few positive things in the Community right now, with the over amount of Negativity coming out of almost every pore of CB, and a Kudo/Congratz Thread for a Job Well done is one of the most important at the moment. Regardless of whoever's stake in something the person doing the work should get the Congratz for the hard work period.

What really pisses me off the most is some one acting like a jerk and screwing up someone else's Congratz Thread for whatever Reason!

I'm sick and tired of people saying Z is only about Z , Yeah I know about you just like people talk to you they talk to me too remember that, even when I Congratulate other people.

Well if that is what you think you are quite wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a look below Folks and you tell me, the only Threads I have omitted is:

B-Day Threads(There are so many and I posted to most of them too),

Wraithlin: No I was not Congratulating myself what-so-ever, just pointing out that I do Congratulate others and not just myself as some have attempted to say. The Constant misinterpretation is getting on my nerves.

JW you are right and it is the purpose of this Thread. I am tired of people looking into everything like it is some kind of conspiracy. When I get a Congratz I try my best to take it graciously and in turn I give them out. I fail to see how this is a problem in any way or a reason to take a step back and breathe.

There should not be bickering on a Congratz Thread no matter who the OP is. Say Congratz or not but take the Negativity to another Thread if you truly feel the need. I know that many people would definitely not like it if their Congratz Thread got screwed because of a few people acting like a jerk and get just short of trolling it.

Keep the Positive things Positive is my aim here.

OK dude, wow. Since I'm sure you're talking about me and Ranger in the other thread, let me clarify. My first post "You're technically congratulating yourself" was filled with absolutely no malice. You replied by apologizing for me to my own clan owner, which I took as flamebait and responded as such. If I felt that I wronged him in some way, I would have apologized for myself.

You took a comment saying that you're technically congratulating yourself because you own the tattoo, and took it as an insult to you. You want to keep things positive, by going overboard and compiling a thread that starts with a rant followed by a list you probably spent an hour compiling? If you want to keep things positive, then don't get offended by comments where there is no intention of offense. I made a passing comment that neither I nor anyone else would care about, and you had to use it to start an argument. No need, man.

Z, wub ya man, you know that... but I think you're overreacting :) The one thing about these forums is there are a lot of strong opinions and everyone has their little things that bug them. Some don't like polls, some don't like FS/WTB bumps, some don't like mass congrats threads... granted if you don't like them stay away from them, but sometimes it's hard not to poke at something once in a while. Heck, lately someone (who constantly badgers me) jumped in a thread I submitted and said I need more hobbies. A year ago I would have jumped on that and gone wild with it, now? *scoff* Too many other things going on. There has only been one time recently something got under my skin where I overreacted and said some things I could have held back, but G-bless GL for being there and having the insight/words of wisdom to set things right. The congrats threads for me most of the time are a time to celebrate. I can't deny, to me, SOMETIMES they seem more like bragging or are overdone but I just read and move on. Just look at the majority of the posts in the thread, they are positive and supportive. There is no need to focus on 1-2 negative things and go bonkers >:)

Oh please Op it is a common courtesy in the forums. If you don't have anything positive to post on a Congratz Thread then don't post at all.

Your aim while not malicious was still a potshot and you know it. If you had wanted to take a potshot at me why not just make a freaking Thread instead of screwing up someone elses? Same goes for Ranger on that matter, why destroy someone's Congratz Thread when you can make your own Flame Thread?

While not necessarily the biggest issue in CB it is still something that absolutely should not be tolerated or allowed in the Forums. Congratz Threads are for Congratz not veiled comments, sarcasm, flaming or anything else negative.

If you post, be prepared to view different opinions. There is no hard and fast rule that all of these or that thread are off limit to all but piling on the manure. No matter what the post.

Perhaps if your post was "Congrats LR for leveling to 12M", I may have perceived it different. LR has done an incredible job with his NCB. Very remarkable to say the very least. But he is just super leveling a tattoo. Not, IMO, a real great feat. If it was his own tattoo, perhaps.

But a thread like this serves no purpose except to bring up another thread that was dying down.

There are quite a few people active in forums Z. There will always be few people that might get you annoyed or turn you the wrong way. But from I saw from your 12 mil thread (I assume this is what this is about) there was a lot more positive congratulating than not. Just because a few people aren't supporting the positive atmosphere doesn't mean the system is crashing and burning.

It seems like the purpose of this thread was to prove something to just a few members of the community, but you aren't going to change their perspective. Meanwhile, the thread does nothing to the rest of the community, because they congratulated you, they never doubt you in the first place.

If you expect the rest of us to turn around and get angry at the people that "wronged you" that's not going to happen either, the thing is, we don't want to get angry at each other. Even if they disagree with us, or imply things about our character, being angry at each other is no fun. It's not something that we want part of our gaming experience, which is why we are here.

What I'm pretty much asking is for you to focus on all positive energy in the community, even though there is some negativity floating around, don't let that ruin your experience.

Nah not my aim bro, I am perfectly fine with standing on my own. I'm not asking for help from anyone and I certainly do not wish people to be angry at one another for something that is apparently my personal problem. I just wanted to shut a few people up and to alleviate a few others misinterpretations of me. While at the same time trying to get people to understand that sometimes they just should not post anything if they cant post something positive in something that is supposed to be positive.

Once again yeah I know, part of the point of my Thread is to fight to keep those negative comments out. To reinforce a Rule of Common Courtesy since so many forget when they bring personal baggage of whatever type into a Congratz Thread and ruin it just because they have issues. Not for just what happened to LR's but in the future for others Congratz Threads too. This SHOULD NOT turn into the "Thing to do" not even for a few people acting like Jerks. No not in any of the Threads but I certainly did get some information from a few people about others stating that I was a selfish glory hound that was making Congratz Threads just for himself. Yes LR has done a Superb Job and deserves every freaking Kudo coming to him! As far as LR super leveling my tat that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he did put in the work Ranger and I was Congratulating him on a job well done. If you go by that reasoning you just contradicted yourself Ranger. Technically all a NCB is, is a Power Leveled Char, if he hit's a Milestone are you gonna ruin that by saying something to that effect and ruin a another Milestone/Congratz Thread for him. He did one hell of a job Ranger, my Tat, your Tat, anyones Tat it's a good job Ranger and he deserved a pat on the back and I tried to give it to him what the hell is so wrong with that? To that effect what is wrong with ANYONE doing that?

And to think, just a couple Saturdays ago I was part of three or four threads that were all summarily closed because they were deemed by the powers that be to be too contentious.

I don't even have any idea what this whole thing is about (I tried to find related threads and honestly couldn't, I've been off since last Wednesday pretty much) except I respect everyone on the thread, especially Z.

So can someone kill this? Can I get this to stop? Apparently someone was able to kill every interesting thread those couple-a Saturdays past, so can we get some consistency here? As far as I can tell (and no offense to you, Z, I see your point, even without knowing the backstory), this thing should have been closed after the initial post, if we are going for the easing of conflict.

HI I would like to say this thread is too crazy long, and a bit odd.

Zanai and Ranger, you two have been among a very small group who always have gone WAY out of their way to offer me advice and help. And your opinions I respect a lot and even if I don't agree with your posts they are generally good reading. You two are both the greatest. Well Sut is Pretty cool and Proteus and.. well you get the idea. I know you both also like to state your opinions which is usually some of the stuff I like to read the most in forums. BUT,

You remind me of me a couple years ago. Very passionate but quite a lot of the time misinformed.

Opvines and myself made a statement or 2 about your thread which appeared to be a self congratulatory thread.

You on the other hand have typed paragraph after paragraph after paragraph on the subject. Frequently stating things that are simply not true.

The last statement in your opening thread is one of those examples.
