History

This strategy began with a returning player kicking up a NUB account after a decade and a half of absence. Beginning with one minion and gearing it up as a Tank, I developed the rest of this strategy after acquiring a non-lesser tattoo. After I reached ~1.5mil MPR, I looked for something like it in Game Strategies and found nothing quite identical- the closest thing being the 4-Minion EWMT team. The biggest difference to that is twofold: first, the positioning of the Tank and Wall i flipped and the Enchanter slips in between them, giving the familiar protection from both the front and the back. Second, the Amulet of Invisibility gets worn by the Wall so Chakram users target the Enchanter while leaving the PL Wall to soak MM. In using a DD familiar, exp distribution is less diluted and the total NW is streamlined amongst only 3 minions as well.

Gear needed

Tank (Light Tank preferred since it'll be less susceptible to Shocking Grasp)

Enchanter:

Phantom Link Wall:

Training Method

The Enchanter, at around 3mil MPR, started training a 40% Antimagic Field instead of 20% Dispel Magic to give the team a defense against Decay and Fireball / Cone of Cold. The Ablative Shield dropped to 55%.

The Wall's low ST and DX gives a small intrinsic buffer to redirect a bit of Enforcer's Crossbow and Assassin's Crossbow stat drain.

The Tank's base AC will be quite low with Combat Gi and it's quite cheap to upgrade, being only $6,492,588 NW at [+73].

Pro's and Cons

Pro's

  • Strong against comparable NW tanks in a 3 or 4 minion team because of a Light Tank protected by a Phantom Link Wall.
  • Hard strategy for comparable NW mages to beat because of the Ablative Shield and Phantom Link, as well as the Mage Shield Wall soaking Magic Missile.
  • Can live through almost anything into melee.

Cons

  • Expensive to build. Likely going to take a while to acquire the equipment needed for each minion, and even longer improving it enough to perform as intended.
  • Stalemates against giant AMF/GA, resulting in a Stalemate if the opponent boasts significantly higher HP or AS
  • This team will struggle to handle a Single Tank or 2-Minion Tank team as the Tank used here is Light.
